~ Calls For End Of Insecurity In Ekpeye

Former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Rt. Prince Chibudom Nwuche has felicitated with His Royal Majesty Eze (Amb.) Cassidy O.W Ikegbidi JP, AP Eze Igbu Akoh II of Akoh Kingdom on the occasion of the King’s 56th birthday celebration at his Port Harcourt residence.

Speaking to newsmen at the event, the Esama Ekpeye Logbo who was a Special Guest at the occasion, congratulated the king on the successes and achievements he has recorded since his reign on the throne and wished him good health, wisdom and long life on the throne.

Hon Nwuche also commended the Eze Ekpeye Logbo III His Majesty Eze (Sir) Amb. Kelvin N Anugwo Ph.D, JP,AP, FNIM, His Royal Majesty Eze (Hon) Augustine M.Okpokiri JP, Eze Igbu Ubie IV of Ubie Kingdom, Deputy Speaker of Rivers State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Ehie Edison , Executive Chairman of Ikwerre L.G.A Hon Samuel Nwanosike and others for their presence at the event to rejoice with Eze Cassidy and urged the kings to work together for peace, security and development of Ekpeye Land.

The former lawmaker also called on the chairmen of the local government areas to emulate their counterparts in other LGAs that are peaceful by deploying resources at their disposal from the Federation Account to end insecurity in Ekpeye land which according to him is affecting peace and development of the area as business men and investors are withdrawing from the Ekpeye Land due to high rate of killings and general insecurity.

Nwuche commended the Rivers State governor His Excellency Chief Barr Ezenwo Nyesom Wike for the various developmental projects executed in Ekpeye land especially the Ahoada Campus of the Rivers State University, the dualised Ahoada/Omoku road, etc. He noted that if not checked the insecurity in the area might affect the maximum utilisation of these projects that are meant to bring development to Ekpeye land. He urged the council chairmen to urgently device means to restore security, law and order in the area.
