For samsung android phones right from samsung s3, samsung s4, samsung s5, samsung s6, The Samsung A series like A50, A51, A30s etc spanning over 10 years. I have always updated them constantly and never ever factory reset and it always reboots reinstalling applications by default during update process. There is never an issue after update. I guess Nokia android is poor at update aftermath.

It's not wrong. Manufacturers will always tell you to factory reset after major updates.

they do send updates, maybe not on all their devices, plus, of what advantage is an update if it will land you in a mess like this?

I updated my Nokia 5.3 to android 12...since that day my battery had gone from good to bad... If U are using a Nokia pls don't update Ur phone..,I cant wait to get s21ultra

Uld still experience same thing with samsung. Ive experienced it twice now A70 and A71 and read about others with similar experience. Sudden drop in battery performance from awesome to average. Subsequent updates might improve it but not to what it was before. My A72 is still on android 11 one u.i 3.1. Not updating nada and battery life is still awesome after a year plus. The UI updates im missing are painful but its a sacrifice im willing to make.

I'm using G20 and I used Android 12 before moving to Android 13.. phone used to lag before now , but it stopped after this update. I guess the update fixed it.
