He's a great actor quite alright, but the art of theatric require you to be natural. These include ; facial expression, gesticulation, intonation etc... A lot of people while seeking for recognition, overdo these things..

Blossom chukwujeku should have won it for his role in the "trade" but an award to Tobi isn't bad for pure/natural acting

Exactly.
The organizers are a reflection of mediocrity bedeviling the movie industry in Nigeria. They don't understand what theatric is all about.

The prospective winner in any movie ( usually lead actors) should not only interprete it's specific roles well, but should reflect the entire movie. (Directors of movies help a lot in this regard) so it's like a team work.
I'll give examples;
* at scene 1 of the trade, blossom was being chased by kidnappers, but was caught, he did two guess works by asking the guys if they worked for X (no reply) , he then cracked the code for another name, which he got.
That scene 1 already gave an incite of the entire movie, of a 'trade' run by different cartels
* The movie producers told us it was based on real life events, and the lead actor didn't disappoint at the final scene too by remaining calm, when he was being surrounded by special forces(you could feel adrenaline on his face )

They should continue deceiving themselves. Tobi is a mid actor that is coming up but he’s not that good. Watch “Gangs of Lagos” you’ll attest to this. Now AMVCA is like the headies, they’re only giving their Yoruba counterparts the awards. Nobody should say anything about voting cos the website wasn’t giving an OTP to people that registered. Every competition, Award show, election Nigerians must bring in corruption. Just imagine who won best female actress, an upcomer that barely knows how to act. This cheating behavior is why Nigeria can’t progress in sports too cos they’re busy fixing people based on recommendations. Imagine Anthony Joshua was never given an opportunity to go for trials when he was in Nigeria. Are we going to blame this on the government too? We have serious sanitization to carry out amongst ourselves.

I don watch both brotherhood and gangs of Lagos and am not convinced bro. He won based on popularity the only positive thing about brotherhood was the ending when he shot oc ukeje with shotgun that was the only thing I enjoyed storyline wack scripting and pursuit all wack. Jade osiberu did well with trade by blossom chukwujekwu that was the best movie for me. But we know why Tobi won. He couldn't match blossom and chidi' energy in shanty town. Tobi is not there yet. Who dey vote no be gen z. Na bbnaija people make Tobi win he no deserve the award period.

You are right. No one in that category deserve the award more than Blossom. He killed his role in the Trade.
I don't know how Tobi won. How? Damn it. I lost interest once the award was given to him.
I think henceforth, this award should be left for professionals to do the voting just like football.
