Sending a lowly placed cabinet secretary to attend to an inauguration of the "most important" country in Africa is an insult to say the least and unfortunately many Nigerians are tripping over this obvious humiliation of Tinubu and his incoming administration.

Normally, they always send an ambassador in that country, but when it's time to make a statement to highlight the importance or how highly the regard the country, they always pick a senior official like a cabinet member and congressional member to lead the delegation.

This massive delegation led by a cabinet member, members of Congress, a military general and others mean the US is making a statement and recognizing Nigeria as a friendly and important nation.

This is the first time in a long time USA would be sending a cabinet member to chair an inauguration! King Charles coronation, I don’t think USA send any White House delegates..

But Personally, I’m not surprised with the kind honor USA is giving tinubu. They’ve always honored him right from back in the days! He was Obama inauguration based on official invitation, even Jonathan was shocked cuz tinubu wasn’t in government then..
