APGA state congress: Soludo is gifted reformer- Obigwe


The National Coordinator of APGA Media Warriors Forum, Chinedu Obigwe, has described the Anambra State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, as a gifted reformer.

Obigwe's description of the governor followed a successful conduct of APGA state congress on Tuesday in the state.

In a statement on Wednesday, Obigwe said: "APGA State Congress is now a done deal. But the truth remains that Governor Soludo is a gifted reformer.

"Nobody would have believed that APGA State Congress will be rancour free and conducted peacefully without complaints from any quarters.

"There is no victor and no vanquished in the contest.Even those that indicated interest to contest that did not make it are seeing themselves as winners and that is what it is supposed to be.

THE STATEMENT CONTINUES:

Governor Soludo made it possible to be conducted peacefully.

He started by ensuring that the process for the conduct of the election was not monetised.

The forms were given to aspirants free of charge meaning that they did not pay any money to get the form.

Outside this, a note of warning was given to all aspirants that if they give anybody any money it is at their own risk because doing that will not sway vote in favour of any of them.

The Governor followed up the process from the collection of form to screening of aspirants and finally to the conduct of the Congress from Ward, Local government and to the State.

Truly, Governor Soludo has set an example for other political parties to emulate.

For me, APGA got it right with the conduct of State Congress.

Coming up next is APGA national convention and for this , am of the firm belief that it will also end in praise just like the concluded State Congress.

Like Governor Soludo or hate him, he is truly a gifted reformer.

The impact of his gift of reformation was felt in the just concluded APGA State Congress.
