Why the uproar?

There is nothing Buhari is doing now that he hasn't done in some form or the other - over the past 8 years.

Nigerians voted Buhari into power in 2015. Despite a terrible performance in governing the country and deeply flawed elections 4 years later, Nigerians did not reject the man and his party. He was re-elected in 2019.

Another 4 long years of death and immense suffering...and again, Nigerians did not do enough to overwhelmingly repudiate the legacy of death and destruction that the APC represents. If over the next 48 hours the courts do not uphold the petitions brought before them...then the APC's tainted, infirm candidate Bola Tinubu looks set to be sworn in for another 4 years of APC misgovernance, from 2023 to 2027.

Now...imagine how this looks to foreigners: so many Nigerians say they hate the APC and all it represents...and yet the same Nigerians keep voting for the party and its candidates.

It makes no sense.

If there are ministers of regions, then that means there would be no need for state Governors?

There would still be governors and local governments administrators under the jurisdiction of Premier or minister of a region. Regional Premier or minister will be the highest authority in every region. In collaboration with regional assembly, he can make and remove any under performing governor or local administrator whose positions are mostly ceremonial and not electives. The only elected officials in every region would be "Premier/minister"and members of regional assembly through carefully selection from institutions within a region.

These are states, not regions. If we are to go with the current dispensation, Nigeria has 6 geopolitical zones or regions.
Semantics

what's the difference

Why not 36 zones
Or 774?

You realize there are countries smaller than our local govts right?
