Today I got a job offer with a salary of 350k and an official car just because I know a strong person in the company.
I use to work for another company at Ajah, I go to the office once in a week from thr mainland and it's not easy. My salary is 200k and I don't really like the work environment, I am tired of the job and this new job is not far from my house, its in Ikeja. My girlfriend whom I have known since 2011 when I was doing my I.T (WE dated then broke up, she came back last year January) connected me with one of her friends that I use to know back then. This her friend is married to the nephew of the CEO of this company and she works there herself.

She got my CV, 3 months ago, waited for a vacancy and made sure that it was not advertised. See, the interview, na only me dey there, the job was kept for me. It was not even an interview, it was a conversation and they were just telling me about the company, no stress. That's the power of knowing somebody, this will not be possible i didn't get a strong referral.

This morning I got my appointment letter. I asked them to give me 1 month to tidy up my account in this current office.
Try and build connections, know somebody that knows somebody that knows somebody. Ask for referrals, it's going to make the whole job hunt easier.

I forgot to ask, date girls that have substance. Don't date girl wey be liability

This should work out for somebody who have something in his head to offer and not a dunce graduate. My guy, do you think if you had messed up during the "interview" or is it "conversation" you would still get the job even if you are the only applicant? While you look for connection also develop competence quotient. It will take you far.

90% of jobs are in the hidden job market. Which is people referring you. If you're looking for work, spend less time throwing CV around and more time talking to people you know about it

One of the mistakes I made during my undergraduates is that I dedicated 100% of my time to reading and academic activities.
Thank God I was able to correct everything during my masters when I dedicated 90% of my time to flexing, socialising and networking.
Knowing people can get you access even with low grades where first class is being rejected.

It is also one of the reasons why this country is stagnant, because many people are not qualified for the job, but they get it anyways because they happen to know somebody, and please it has nothing to do with OP.

I know a scenario where company hired a manager because he was related to someone in the company and he was hoping to learn the work as time goes on but he couldn't cope and he ran because of pressure
Sadly, there will always be people highly qualified but they don't get there because they don't have an inside man to recommend them. I dey laugh graduates wey dey go around submitting CVs to companies, believe me na the gateman dey use that CV clean him shoes

I have had my late dad’s friend who were ceo of GTB and other banks and that was what even ginger me into reading banking and finance at the university so I can easily secure a space at the bank with my Bsc after graduation. But,before I graduated,my dad was late and after that, we the children don’t have access to the Ceo neither do our uncles .

But,I still later worked at the bank tho and even my younger brother but we all left as there was no one to help us through the rank up.
