Hello experts in the field,

I am a web content writer and am also trying my hands on web design.

I use joomla 1.5 to create websites. I created this site www.empowernigerians.org - but currently experiencing problems with it. After creating it on my local host, I thereafter copied the database and pasted it in my web server phpmyadmin. I also uploaded the images using aceftp.

The challenges however are;

1. The site is not displaying properly in Internet Explorer but displaying well in Mozilla

2. The following pages are not displaying properly as the images therein are not aligned properly as it appeared in my local host:

- National Executives
- State Executives
- Regional Executives.

I will be grateful if you can help me out as soon as possible.

@ Bigdreams,

Your template isn’t comfortable on Internet Explorer! Try using/changing to another template.

For these - National Executives, State Executives, - Regional Executives pages, try formatting the pages directly on your maybe using JCE editor.

The reason why it displayed well in one browser and displayed wrongly in another browser is that the css was not properly written.

As Joomlaman right pointed out, you can change the template that would fit into it.

Also correct the pages mention by Joomlaman. Align the image well and also use break
to format the pages well.

It seems u copied the texts directly from MS word thereby passing some foreign tags into the HTML.

You are right, I copied the text directly from MS Word into joomla editor. The page displays well in my backend without any distortion of the arrangement. I'm thinking of copying the content into Notepad and thereafter copying it into the joomla editor.


I also changed the template on my localhost but it's the same problem, it's displaying well in mozilla but the reverse is the case in internet explorer.

I don't know css for now and just remember a little bit of html I learnt so many years ago.

So sirs, what do you advise I do?
