Nigerians are really senseless and foolish. I keep hearing some people say fuel price will come down. Why that if kerosene didn't come down? Why that if diesel didn't come down.

Buhari have layed the ground for dangote to come in. Dangote is a politician and knows how to play it very well. Any sector he venture into the price never remain the same. Dangote price is purely fixing. And that's how it work in Nigeria. Many politician has % from the fixing and why they support him to monopolize the sector's.

Very soon NNPC will be buying from dangote and no body will be allowed to bring in foreign fuel.

Dangote products is cheaper in neighboring countries even when they are produced here in Nigeria. Just to let you know the corruption and price fixing in Nigeria.

If NNPC is to be sincere the price of PMS shouldn't have exceed N350. NNPC created a corruption template all other filling station are now using.

But that's Nigeria for you.

Blame the greedy marketers

In an interview with Dangote he was asked why his product are cheaper accross Africa and he point blank told the interviewer his products sell for the same price from his warehouse

Greedy Nigerians sell at high price

Other Africans sell at low price because you get taxed according to your profit

The thing about this subsidy removal is that Nigeria is never ready for anything

Everyone talking as if once the subsidy goes, corruption follows it

Who will stop the corruption going on in education, health, finance, defence and every other sector by the same civil servants and political class that are strong parties to this subsidy removal?

Foolish poor tribal hypocrites who call themselves citizens too will find a way to support their nonsense

This is quite thought-provoking!

Like I always say, saying that price of PMS will come down in the future is like saying that the price of iPhone will come down in the future.

I am sure the production companies will sell crude oil to refineries (including the upcoming modular refineries) in dollars.

By the way, one barrel of oil = 159 litres

Dangote Refinery can process 650k barrel of crude oil daily, meaning that Dangote can deliver 159 × 650,000 litres every day (assuming it's only refining PMS).

Nigerians consume 66 million litres of PMS daily. That means Dangote Refinery can conveniently satisfy Nigeria's PMS needs, init?

One is already working in Imo State, but I learnt it doesn't have the enablers that allow it refine PMS yet. It only refines other products of crude oil now.
Re: Why Did Market Forces Not Affect Diesel And Kereson? by Patented: 12:38pm On Jun 03, 2023
Diesel and Kerosine have been deregulated a long time ago. Hence their prices always fluctuate.

When Dangote's refinery is full functional we really don't know what prices will be cos that depends on the price of crude itself.

If crude goes up everything goes up, if it comes down then everything should come down.

Diesel and Kerosine did not go up cos they are not being subsidised. Only PMS is subsidised.

All of us for this country join dey greedy and self destructive. Na only personal gain we dey find and e dey kill us

Functional ports are in Lagos, Delta and Rivers

For a Truck or tanker to travel from Lagos to east, they have to charge good amount which ends up affecting cost

Solution is having Berge vessels move goods to East through Onitscha river port

That is exactly what I want you to know
None of the modular refinery deal with pms.tgey are basically diesel,DPK and gas if possible
Re: Why Did Market Forces Not Affect Diesel And Kereson? by ivolt: 1:45pm On Jun 03, 2023
No market force can make a marketer sell below its production cost.
The illiterate posting "maket forces" up and down don't even know the meaning.

There is only one way for fuel price to fall and that is determined by international politics
and bodies such as OPEC.

Refinery or no refinery, the price of petrol is not coming down.

Diesel is not being subsidized, diesel is expensive ever since,. diesel is about N650/litre. Kerosene too has been expensive ever since, they were not being subsidized. Go ask for diesel and kerosene price around.
Re: Why Did Market Forces Not Affect Diesel And Kereson? by muykem: 1:49pm On Jun 03, 2023
You are saying what you don't know. Diesel is over N800 in the beginning of this year but its around N650 today since crude oil price has come down.

You did not get his statement.
He is referring to market forces of demand and supply . competition between products which is not a straight forward case.
The price movement of refined products for nnpcl is determined by the price of crude oil on the international scene.since the nnpcl is basically an importer of refined products from foreign plants.
So as long as the price of crude oil fluntuates the price down stream will also fluntuate
