Why Tinubu, Mahmud & other allege riggers should be jailed for 2023 elections.

Since return of Democracy in 1999, Nigeria have never witness an election of at least 1993 standard, even though it wasn't totally credible. Yet, none is an glaring, open and totally dishonest as that of 2023....

It was the first time a lot happened.
* The first time A truly people oriented 3rd force came up with a tsunami as a revered King; Oni of Ife, called the labour party candidate, Peter Obi, widely believe to have won the election by a wide margin.

* The first time a known drug dealer and money laundering mule, known and convicted internationally was selected and announced as President.

* The first time a wide margin of Nigerians from different tribe agreed that the current usurper should leave, not because they hated him but because he's totally unfit, sick, corrupt, stole another person Mandate and none can tell for sure his real identify!

Why can't this old sick drug mule leave? certainly not by force to rule a people.

Why Buhari govt allowed this man to be sworn in is something a sane human would have difficulty wrapping up.

June 12 comes to mind. Though the military do not want Mr Abiola, they were not this brazen and this callous and shameless when it comes to total disregard for the Nigerians, her Constitution, as to affirm a dishonest, drug peddling corrupt perjurer as president. Even the military were afraid of the Nigerian people, how civilians do not is a matter for another day.

Prof Yakubu Mahmud deserve some jail term for these infractions, at least to serve as deterrent for future INEC officials.

Also, Tinubu deserve to spend at least one year in kuje, and five years in supervised sentence(due to old age & his health. Words on the street is that he's living on borrowed time), at least to show future leaders that if you rig and get caught, you will do the time.

Wealth wise, Tinubu is not richer than Trump who is currently facing charges at a Manhattan Court.

Prof Yakubu Mahmud INEC through INEC legal representative, rejecting its own CTC documents released by them should be the last stroke to break the camel's back....what a huge joke to confirm what we all knew: 2023 elections was sold to Mr Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as a recompense for 2015 support for Mr Buhari, and Also due to religious bigotry.

To address those who claim that Obi did not win in the north, it is important to remember that the election was not solely about individual candidates. During the presidential election in Nigeria, the citizens were exhausted with the ruling party, the APC (All Progressives Congress), and collectively desired a change. The focus was on moving away from the APC and having a neutral party take over. The narrative about tribal affiliations only surfaced after the APC realized the outcome of the presidential elections.

In a neutral election and without the acrimony of 8 years of direction less governance by the ruling party, LP would not have stood any chance.

People voted to get rid of APC, impunity and lies which Bola Ahmed Tinubu has now come to symbolize!

This said, the honorable judges should be alive to their responsibility as the international community is closely following events at the courts!

Believe it or not, this election cycle is one of the best Nigeria has had. That's because Labour Party won several seats without having people in government.

However, Mahmood messed up the presidential election with the server issue. If they updated the iRev in real time, all these legal tussles wouldn't be necessary.

What the drug mule did to some people is akin to what drugs do the brain.... All you need to see is their comments!

I quite agree with you.. It ought to be the best so far conducted because ex Pres Muhammadu Buhari did his best to make sure Prof Yakubu Mahmud have all the necessary laws, money and support to give us a free election.

But Prof Yakubu Mahmud for reasons best known to him & his co travelers decided to go against their own rules & guidelines. And even denigrated the judiciary by openly asking rigged out parties to go to Court. What level of impunity!

If the judiciary will live up to their responsibility, Prof Yakubu Mahmud deserve to spend years in jail!

You can't superintendent over an illegality and still have the temerity to call the name of the Judiciary! It's reason enough to make the jail term long!!!

The elections if it's results were uploaded real time, even a Palm wine tapper in Annang would defeat Akpabio, but Prof Yakubu Mahmud and his REC & collation officers messed up big time.

I remember Prof Abel Guobadia ex INEC chairman, where is he today? In the dustbin of history!
