These multiple means of extorting monies from Abuja residents. My issue with this park and pay when it was operated last time was that the staff were thugs who aare deliberately difficult and only interested in making u pay fine of 10k instead of paying for the time difference if you park even 2mins beyond 1hr. And also they deliberately avoid being around when u come to park your car and setting u up to park and leave without getting ticket so they can make u pay fine. It is a money making machine for some people in govt. 1 Like |

It is a good idea , the park and pay. It was around some ten years ago. Even then it was a good idea because at the end of the day, the FCT has to make money, because amount of money coming from the center is falling by the day, in value and amount. All those complaining above, how would the FCT get extra money? And after most of you would be shouting 'they are taking all our oyel money' Well, here is a means to reduce dependency on oyel money, plus it is a nice way of doing true federalisim...states think of ways to raise money. At the end, someone might bring a court case...like last time, and bring it to an end. 1 Like |

Any other ideas on how people can raise money? Either oil goes up to 130 dollars per barrel, or we borrow.....or we start thinking better ideas. (Before you start, when AMAC under PDP was doing the same thing, I clapped for them then. It was a sensible idea back then. ) |
