I like the western foreign politicians...they are humble, honest and not desperate for political positions...if they know they have disobey the law they simply step down or resign..but in naija here politicians want to die in that political position...if they break the law or accuse of been corrupt they can never resign or step down..they die there

..for where a nigeria politician can never resign or step down they prefer to die at that particular politcial position

These are people that have shame and values.
He doesn't have values, he knew that Covid was a scam and that's why he went partying, how come Covid magically disappeared after big pharmaceutical companies in the west made billions from their fake vaccines and booster shots and Africans who didn't take the jab are healthier with less cases of myocardisis and heart failures happening to young people in the West

..for where...with all the desperate politcians that we have everywhere in naija... even ondo state governor that is very sick now refuses to step down or resign from his governorhip position... wants to be in that government seat even in his sick bed

If nothing else, those desperate politicians will die and you will become the politician, and I trust you'd not do what the dead desperate politicians do. But if you do do what the dead desperate politicians do, you too would eventually die and your better brought up children will take over and not do what you or the dead desperate politicians before you did. And if your children are desperate like them and you, they too will die and your better brought up grandchildren will not be desperate like you or your children or those politicians. And if your grandchildren are like you or the dead desperate politicians before you or their parents, they too will die and your much better brought up great grandchildren might not be so desperate.

I have faith in you you see, and in your children if you disappoint, and in your grandchildren if you and your children disappoint, and in your great grandchildren if you and your children and your grandchildren disappoint, and in your great great grandchildren if you and your children and your grandchildren and your great grandchildren all disappoint.

A Nigeria we can be proud of is like Rome which was not built in a day but over centuries and generations. And you and your descendants don't even need to be politicians at all, just better educated electorate to elect non-desperate politicians.

My faith in you and your future descendants can not ever be quenched.

Still a point though. He would have been suspended in the end, and by his own party too, and a by-election would have held in which he might have lost or been reelected.

I still dey wait d day wey Nigerian go resign... We rent plane, paint am talk say na plane launch...
For naija we no dey use steal again... Na embezzle or laundering... Because d money Don pass wetin thief dey steal
Exactly what Jonathan said and the propaganda machine from a section of the country picked it up, oiled it to deceive the ever willing Nigerians that love to be deceived.

Jonathan was of the opinion that, calling the theft of public funds as just "corruption" which every learned person know it to be is not good enough in our Nigerian experience. And that whoever is proven to have stolen from government should be called a "THIEF" instead since that will resonate more with the people.

For example,

ex-governor Akp**** is a thief
ex-governor Akp**** is corrupt

The first example clearly situates the Nigeria understanding of how severe the crime of taking what is not yours is, unlike masking it under the generic term "corruption"
It is because we don't tag them as thieves, that's why a man accused of corruption, that is in court, to the tune of N102 billion would present himself to be elected as a president, governor or as a senate president.

The honest explanation that ex president Jonathan was trying to make- boom, the propaganda machinery tagged it as Jonathan saying "stealing is not corruption"

He's smart by resigning before the announcement of the findings of the investigation, but he was as bad as Trump during his time as PM which led him to this moment.
