The commander of the Iranian navy also announced the formation of an international naval alliance that includes Asian powers, including Iran, and the Arab Gulf powers, to protect the transit trade of the latter, in place of the joint naval force led by the United States of America in the region. The episode highlighting this news confirms the desire of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates to take advantage of the aforementioned Iranian naval alliance to put pressure on Washington, which always asserts that it is an unreliable ally.
