Nigerian superstar singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has revealed that he still mourns his late son, Ifeanyi Adeleke.

You will recall that Davido’s 3-year-old son and his partner, Chioma, drowned at his Banana Island mansion in October 2022.

During a recent interview with Omega, Davido revealed that he still sheds tears whenever he remembers his son’s death.

He noted that many people expected his latest album, ‘Timeless,’ to have a somber theme due to the loss of his son. However, he chose to focus on creating energetic and lively tracks instead.

Davido said, “I miss him every day, and tears fall from my eyes every morning, even though you may not see it. When I look at myself in the mirror, I remind myself that besides it being about me, I know how many people love me and depend on me.”

He continued, “My son up there is watching over me. In addition to being strong for his mother, which is my primary responsibility, I have to be strong for the world.”

Speaking further, the 30 BG boss noted that he believes Ifeanyi and his late mother, Mrs. Veronica Adeleke, are dancing to his songs in heaven.

Time will heal him. There is nothing else he can do.
