If these buildings collapse and kill people, they will blame Lagos state government for not being proactive. Now that Lagos state government is doing the right by demolishing the buildings, they are making it about politics and ethnicity.

Please how are we sure this is from alaba and not Lagos Island.

If this is from alaba, then the buildings ought to be replaced.

Alaba has no history of building collapse though

Actually, if the buildings collapse and kill people, these very same noisemakers will be the ones claiming the reason the structures weren't demolished was because the Lagos state government wanted the Igbo tenants in them to die. They are that desperate to find conspiracies against them where none exist.

Many of this kind of building are in alaba. Alot of houses will go down if Lagos became serious about this.

Most of these baale should be arrested for selling canals and swamps. People are indeed crazy! You sand fill canal and build up to three story building as a residence or some build such as a warehouse. Years later you'll see building tilting to one side or sinking.
most of the canals sand filled will later cause erosion in some area during raining season.

All what i typed is what I've actually seen happen life in this lagos.

Unless they are using these two to justify the destroying of others then anybody complaining need to have his head checked. I saw the building and I wondered how anybody will feel comfortable inside them.

Anambra is demolishing houses owned and built by igbos, if they demolish houses owned and built by yorubas or Hausas, there will be uproar, go and demolish the decrepit houses in lagos Island where building collapse is a pandemic before coming to alaba where no single building has collapsed

To say the truth, the biggest historical sin of the Yorubas is the swiftness in which we quickly accepted the Igbos back and make them too comfortable in SW after the war. If anything like war happen again, I don't think the Yorubas will be so stupid again.

Soludo has demolished 100s of houses in Anambra but that is not a problem... The problem is that Sanwo-Olu can not do the same thing in Lagos because we have some persons that are impossible to please here. Yet they have blamed Tinubu and Sanwo-Olu for all the building collapse we have had in recent years.

Demolition should be all encompassing, Lagos Island, alaba, badagry, surulere , ogba, fagba, ojuelegba, olodi apapa.

The present targeted demolition is nothing but a clear sign over zealousness of someone who loves his neighbor more than he loves his brothers

any criminal that is arrested will claim because he did not vote APC , iyabo ojo don't want to pay taxes and she claims government is after her because she didn't vote APC. Alaba market building can collapse anytime and government want to prevent disaster before it happens, developers are now claiming the same because we didn't vote for APC

Lol you have no idea the kind of victimisation the few Yorubas in SE are facing. They don't even participate in elections. I once lived there.
