She was under pressure.
It happens to most people who have stage fright.
I'm sure she would've been able to answer that question on a regular day without all the lights and cameras.

However, stage fright is not an excuse for someone who decides to participate in a competition because you know full well that you will be put on the spotlight at some point.

The best answer would be that she wouldn't legalise anything illegal in the country if given the chance as that would mean increasing social vices in the country

Then she would go ahead to list these illegal vices that she can't legalise such as rape, paedophilia, robbery, domestic violence, snatching of ballot boxes and election rigging

Actually it is compulsory for people who r stars or can become potential stars be able to speak in English especially if their job involves communication. Pageant queens do a lot of speaking. If she doesn't want to speak English she could hv contested in d pageant organised in her village. Formula 1 drivers only use English to communicate over d team radio.
