Much of the 40million is being smuggled across the border.

And not just by big tankers, by hundreds of ordinary Nigerians.

As Mele Kyari said, a tanker taken across the border can earn N30m profit.

Before subsidy, we can't be consuming more that 13 million liters but now @ N500 per liter, it would have reduced to 1.7 million liters
