Idemili Council Chair, Hon. Amaka Calls For Active Youth Participation In Politics.

The Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili South Council Area, Hon Obi Amaka Iyom has urge the youths to participate actively in the State and Nigeria’s politics.

Hon Amaka Obi who doubles as the Convener Women Initiative For Greater (WIGA) and Member Joint Account Allocation Committee (JAAC) in the State, said gone were the days politics was left for the old generation.

Hon Amaka gave the charge at Ojoto, the Local Government Headquarters, during the distribution of Palm seedlings to the twelve (12) political wards in the council area.

Speaking to newsmen, the council boss said though youths representation in both the federal and state assemblies was encouraging, more young Nigerians should seek political offices.

She added, “the problem that we face in the Nigeria political system is that we are all sitting in our comfort zones and doing nothing but lamenting rather than participating in the process to make a difference. We must participate to make a difference for generations yet unborn.”

While commending the Executive Governor of the State, Professor Chukwuma Soludo on fulfilling his campaign promises as stated in the People's manifesto. She said, in recent time's the Ministry of Agriculture have experienced unprecedented Revolution in the Agricultural system.

Speaking further, Hon Amaka urged the people of the council area, especially the Youths to join All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in their various ward's, participate actively in supporting the Government and protecting Government owned properties in their Communities

She finally urged more Ndi Idemili South to get involved in the State political decision-making process to help build the Anambra of our dreams and place the State on the path of sustainable growth and development.
