Is this while allowing people to withdraw almost 10k daily? That amount is too much. Even US has limit. Not more than 1,500 is enough.

Nowhere in the world does the exchange rate dangle up and down.

The idea of the floating is to determine the true exchange rate and then peg it.

Another reason for floating is to make all the rates as close as possible.

Of course, some pained saboteurs are at work to frustrate the policy. I trust the FG to outsmart them cool
See this Primary school teacher from Iwo land, the N10k you received as online warrior is not finished yet? Well it's only people like you that can be bought over. It is unfortunate how the defenders of liberal market that supported devaluation since Structural Adjustment, even when IMF admitted at a conference in Ghana that they did not take socioeconomic of Africans into consideration; are now attacking the same devaluation they supported; because Tinubu is in Power.

See Africans!

They used to claim restrictions on dollars and foreign currencies were designed to curb their businesses of importing junk like used materials, stock fish used for fire places in Europe, infected diseased clothes, pins, pencils, toothpicks etc.

Then the big boys used their cries to import water and sugar excessively available at home as excuse to import or lay off workers. The cement factories that have all they need for production also joined.

Read one of them claiming the amount of dollar to naira is not the problem! Anofia!

When you decide to float the naira without deep economic afterthought, this is what you get.

Untill we start producing that which we consume, there is no way out of this mess.
Until we move from consumption to production, we can never come out of this mess. Fact bro!

Do you’ve any proof they’re operating with government or they’re running at a loss or it’s just a mere speculation and bile from your hateful lots.

But he will die because he said no!! This group of corrupt individuals aren't for for this job.

Who amongst the two of you will die of pains.....🤡🤡

Will you shift? Someone is sniffing around every corner like a blood sucking demon looking for bad things to celebrate.
I did not support obi or atiku, if either of them had won doesn’t mean I’d be wishing Nigeria terrible things. Next is to move on and hope Nigeria succeed.
They are just evil and nothing more and those bad news he is sniffing around for will definitely locate home
Lagosfirstson, hear this, it is a natural law, you can’t be looking for bad news and except good things to happen to you. You will definitely attract what you find. With the energy you are using to search for bad news and wish Nigeria fail, that same energy will locate you in every corner of your life. If you think say na swear, no be swear, it’s just a simple law of attraction. Keep attracting negative energies to yourself.

Nigeria will be liberated, Nigeria will be great and the country will work and enjoy progress.

The naira would definitely find it's true value but it's better to defend it this way unlike it was done before by supplying to BDC.Avoid bureau de change get supply to the right people but I must confess it going to be a war against speculators which would increase the naira volatility.
Re: FG Pledges More Dollar Supply To Stabilise Naira by waveman2: 2:49pm On Jun 22, 2023
Good advice but it won't change the value of the naira will only help our dependency on foreign exchange and allow us to produce what we consume. But I quite agree with you that if we were. Producing economy we would be bother about what our exchange rate is but you know the Nigeria mentality everything is one way or the other tied to our foreign exchange.
hush15:

So does government want to go and purchase dollar from US and subsidize it in Nigeria?

I repeat, the only way to make naira gain is to increase export than import. Less dependency is on the dollar, the naira gains and the only way is to increase production which should be in naira. Patronise more made in nigeria goods. Ensure electricity stability, license more local refineries for local consumption. When there is less dependency on foreign exchange, the local currencies gains cos there will be value.

It can be simple if the government wants it if they consider SMSEs....
