Here in Calabar, a bottle of the regular beer goes for nothing less than N700. Some go as high as N850. These same bottles of beer were sold between N200-250 before the arrival of APC. Seems even beer shouldn't be for the poor and average in Nigeria.

He's not talking about alcohol being a cure for pain. He's talking about beer prices per bottle. People drink alcohol for leisure not as a pain reliever.

The price needs to increase further so that some men will no longer fall into the drainage again.

One of the sector I expected to sore higher like 2,000% in terms of price is alcohol or beer and tobacco or cigarettes too and betting too so that so that some people will stop hitting their cars at night or during the day. And under 18 will eventually stay off by force after that we'll know the real men

Beer was probably N100/N150 back in 2010 even up till 2015 before the destroyers APC was ushered into power.
