Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burnaboy, a Nigerian musician, was awarded Best International Act at the 2023 edition of the Black Entertainment Television Awards, also known as BET.

The musician known as “African Giant” won the most coveted accolade at the BET Awards, despite heavy competition from a number of other artists including Ayra Starr, Central Cee, and Stormzy.

Burna Boy’s mother, Bose Ogulu, was present when it was revealed that he had won; nonetheless, she was the one who accepted the prize on his behalf. Burna Boy was present for the entire concert.

Bunaboy has achieved tremendous success in recent years.
