This is a thread about converting Canada visitor's visa to work permit.
As a visitor visa holder, how easy is it to convert your visitor visa to work permit?
I would love to hear majorly from immigrants who have real life experiences in Canada. Have you been able to successfully convert to work permit within the 6 months time frame?

Is this a pathway one should consider? Please share your experiences. Your honest responses will go a long way.

the chances of getting a job within 6 months is very slim. The economy is currently not smiling. There are enough Permanent residents, refugees and those on post work visa who can resume next week, why will an employer now hire someone on visit visa Over 90% of jobs require you to have a working status before applying. If you want to try it still go ahead After all miracle can happen

Why is it that everything about Japa nowadays is hard? Nna mehn. May God help us with this greener pursuit

any update on if it was possible to convert your visitor visa to work visa and how did you go about it

You'll need to have someone in a company that can vouch for you, that would make it easier but doing it on your own. That would require God's Grace

The best way is for a PR or Citizens do the job search for you before arrival so that life will be less miserable most expecially this economical inflation period Canada finds herself. I never go oooo but I think that's the solution.
