Yeah, Nigeria is known for abiding by the dictates of the constitution indeed.

There are already 24 ministers with another 24 State Ministers. How exactly does this cut cost of governance of the junior ministers also enjoy full perks of office as a "minister". They want to cut costs whereas there are 100s of agencies and parastotals performing almost identical roles.

Also, constitutions are made to be amended.

I agree with this. It is unnecessary. But it was created to promote federal character because you may want to appoint a few ministers who are capable from a particular tribe. I think scrapping it will be good but to promote federal character you may have to appoint others on boards across MDA’s.

This part of the constitution promotes mediocrity. As Pat Utomi said if all the ministers cone from thr president's village but are competent, then it's fine.

The ministers of state handles this.

If for instance Yobe state has the best qualified technocrats for 3 slots, then you can give minister for state positions to Ondo and Sokoto state if they have no qualified persons.
