Passing exams in Nigeria is a matter of memory and not brilliance. Memorization and verbatim replication do not translate to success outside of a Nigerian University. Abroad they are moving to open book exams. Brilliance is the ability to identify patterns, make sense of contradictions, come to defensible positions and to communicate such in a compressed time frame.
