It's called profit taking, happens all over the world. If you'd a plot of land whose value increases from ₦1m to ₦15m, wouldn't you sell it and go look for another cheaper plot(s) to buy, to continue to make more and more profits??

Not everyone would. Some would sit on the "plot of land whose value increases from ₦1m to ₦15m" expecting and hoping it's value increases to ₦150m, and some might have built on it and some might farm it and some might lose it and so on and so on and so on and so on.
