I feel sorry for this country. Why do all politicians rightly sent to jail for looting & all sorts financial malfeasance & after so many years of delays & trials ,set free by the Supreme Court? After Orji Uzo Kalu, now this? EFCC should be abolished if all convictions should be thrown out at the end of the day. Why keep on wasting tax payers money in prosecuting cases that eventually will be thrown out?

When Ribadu left EFCC, that was when the commission became children playground.
not true Bawa did his best but the new government is trying to shield "big men" which is sad and gives the wrong signal to officers risking themselves to prosecute them

In a lead judgment by Justice Emmanuel Agim, the apex court held that Nwaobishi and the two companies were unjustly and maliciously prosecuted by the EFCC for committing no offences known to law, and subjected them to criminal trial in relation civil transaction needlessly.

Hmmm...hope you are following..

Criminal trail is difference from Civil trial...

Read the judgement and stop abusing the legal profession. Lawyers are called learned Colleagues for a Reason. Judges dwells on facts and what the law says.
If a lawyer fails to do his assignment properly, he will definitely loss to a well prepared lawyer.
The very fact Efccc accussed and tagged him a fraudulent person. Does that truly mean he was guilty as charged? I and you were not there,to ascertain if all what Efcc claimed are true.

Politicians in Nigeria don't really go to prison no matter the gravity of offence they commit. It's a case of the more you look, the less you see. It's a game of steal much as you can when in power, when you are caught, you use same stolen money to fight back. They're only deceiving the people.

Nigeria judiciary is a problem

There should be a law that if 5 of your case get overturned by a higher court in 10 years you would be removed as a judge

Enough of high court judges doing politician's bidding without consequences

They issues judgement they know can't stand review... Because what's the worse that can happen?

Who prevented his return? Nwoko lost but was rigged in by okowa

Is it just coincidence or why are the criminals suddenly getting freed by the courts?

First it was Abba Kyari.

Now, it’s Senator Nwaobashi.

Is this how Tinubu is going to rule us?

By setting criminals free?

Oga,why not read the case on its merits first? Kyari was granted bail which is normal.nwaoboshi case is a civil matter which doesn't lead to conviction like tinubu case.besides, the matter is alien to Nigeria law

Stop the hypocrisy!
EFCC started the useless job when Ribadu was the head. Ribadu was the most lawless and clueless EFFC chairman, who was used to attack every known political opponent of Obasanjo, to the extent of being used to decide who wins an election. His record at EFCC was poor, but hyped because he found a way to make himself close to people like Falana and late Gani Fawehinmi

Thank you so much o. How many Nigerians turn some flawed personalities into legends just within few years deserves a serious study. Obj empowered individuals into offices to do his dubious bidding. Be it EFCC under Ribadu, INEC under Iwu and many more.

Now I get irritated when some people come out to try rewrite a non-too-distant past. angry

Thank God for the judges that follow the law. You can't just put somebody in jail without proving the case beyond reasonable doubt.

I only hope that as they release the senator, they will also stop parading musicians and tech guys without first proving their case in court.
