U don't grab Mic in the Mosque. U can be selected to lead prayer if their Imam is not there. Many Yoruba are leading prayers in the North in fact many Hausas prefer to pray in 'Yoruba' mosques in the North. I live in the North, I'm not Alfa but only God knows the number of the time I have led the prayers in the North from Kebbi to Bauchi state even in several places in NC.
