My friend, dress code is clearly stated for lawmakers. Suite or traditional wear! It's nothing to be emotional about, that's why even the lawmaker quickly stood up and left

What nonsense dress code.

That's how southerners dress, must everyone dress like Fulani.

Nonsense

All Southerners are not miscreants like you. We do not dress that way.

The next time that boy dresses that way to the Assembly, he will be whipped mercilessly

I think they were being petite. What's more important is what he can contribute to the intellectual discourse to move the nation forward and quality representation of his constituents. His dressing is just his way of life.

He might not like to wear Agbada or suit like his colleagues.

There are appropriate dressings for most jobs. If casual wear are not the appropriate dressing, then he should be walked out and his salary reduced!

Fined for not wearing agbada or for not doing his job as a legislator. Which one?

For flagrantly flouting the dress code!

If a lawmaker can't obey simple laid down regulations, then he shouldn't even be there in the first place.

The rep was wrong to have dressed in that manner. You don't dress like a motor park tout in the gathering of honourable members of the house.

This is why it is important to always elect well educated people into such positions. The difference is always clear.
Re: Newly Elected Rep Sent Out Of Chamber For Improper Dressing by 7arrows: 10:03pm On Jul 12, 2023
Very true. If he wore his native traditional attire na una go first complain say him own too much. Suit and tie na English man dress code. Agbada na northerner dress code. So dont force ur dress code on anyone. If he feel comfortable in Jean's and tee shirt then so be it. They should allow him make his contribution. HYPOCRISY OF THE HIGHEST LEVEL.

It's a standard everywhere in the world. He doesn't need to wear expensive suit or traditional attire. Their are cheap ones he can buy in the market and still look good. Appearance breeds confidence.

I am very sure if every member of the national assembly is dressing like that man, you might be one of those that will still complain that they look a kind of way.

By the way, please correct your "petite" spelling to "petty".

Instead of them to debate on how to make the country better, rather they were busy checking who dress well and who didn't dress well as if that will solve the problem of this country. Unserious set of criminals parading themselves as politicians.

See senseless comparison. YOU LACK WISDOM AND COMMON SENSE.
People like you can never progress or make it in life.
Even in the Bible, women are commanded to dress modestly and cover their hair and hijab symbolises that.
You better grow some sense and stop attacking people's faith and culture if you want to ever make it in life.
Or deh. Hypocrisy kee your generations
. You are stupid if u dont understand the topic.. You said is he there for modeling.. I ask if his dressing is not important and in the house we have more important things than his dressing.. So should in be in school.. The most important thing is passing information and knowledge to a student in a school not hijabs... Your hypocrisy will kill you... Let u brains work...
