PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT

This is to inform Members of the public, especially our esteemed Prospective Corps Members that the venue of the 2023 Batch 'B' Stream One Orientation Camp for Plateau State has been changed from the Permanent Orientation Camp in Mangu to Waye Foundation, by Buken Academy Doi-Du (Temporary NYSC Orientation Camp) in
Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State.

All Prospective Corps Members are by this information expected to report at the new Orientation Camp (Waye Foundation by Buken Academy) on the dates specified in their call-up letters.

Kindly take note of this new development.

A case of window dressing.

So what happens to the indigenous people who live in these communities, who will evacuate them?

where will they be taken to?

instead of government being proactive by tackling the main issue at hand which is insecurity, they rather be reactive by using first aid and fire brigade approach.

Shouldn't they have suspended the orientation agenda for plateau state entirely until peace is restored to the state?
Or repost the prospective corps members to other states?
Why are they toying with the lives of young men and women all in the name of national youth service?
Maybe there's something they aren't telling us!

How about y'all just skip the orientation and send the innocent graduates back to their states with letters/certificates of exemption??!

While at it, scrap the useless national service scheme...! It has long outlived its usefulness! It isn't serving any real purpose anymore!

It was meant to unite the nation after the Civil war, but we all know the nation has never been united and will never be united!

With the level of insecurity in Nigeria, we expect the government to turn the one year national service exercise to paramilitary training of graduate youths. Thereafter there's also need to legalize firearms for graduates certified mentally stable. If everyone is armed the bandits would think twice before attacking.

I may have to agree that the Camp thing should be scrapped.
Probably the NYSC things should even be abolished.

Even Army, Airforce, Police, and Navy should be scrapped, while we pay Vigilante groups to guard their community.
