Tinubu did not hike the price, the price is now at the mercy of market forces, it has been deregulated, subsidy payments stopped. A president in a democracy is not a dictator, he works with the provisions of the law and budget.

How many presidents have we had since GEJ? During PMB era, many analysts called on him to remove d subsidy as early as 2016 just after he started as president but he didn't. Someone like me felt he should remove it then cos there was virtually no more subsidy as price of international crude crashed. El Rufai said as much. Let me even ask u, what is your recipe?
