Okay, so if the argument is not for 2012, fine.
Using this inverse of your argument,

Why is it that Oshomhole who was always against increment if fuel price suddenly support GEJ even though they were not in the same party when that one proposed to increase the fuel? Reason is simple circumstances are different.

Like I have always said, petrol is now deregulated, expect a lot of price fluctuations.

So u are waiting for them to still protest for u? They protested when they were much younger, now they are old and no longer as strong. You that's younger why not lead d protest? They fought for their generation, u too should fight for your generation

BTW Soyinka is now 89, old and weak. Am sure u are less than 45, u can go and lead d protest or is if forbidden for u to also lead protest?

Probably you were still a foetus or even yet to be conceived when Tinubu protested against the removal of subsidy by president Jonathan. You are only understanding it now because it's your tribesman that removed it. You deliberately refused to understand Jonathan's explanation on why the subsidy must be removed. Even Okonjo-iweala, the then finance minister warned that Nigeria will go bankrupt if subsidy is not stopped yet you guys refused to understand. Had it been it was removed then, we wouldn't be where we are today. The joke is on you.

So now that u understand d justification of subsidy removal and d attendant high petrol price, what are u still quarrelling about? Why are u splitting hairs
Re: Fuel Subsidy- Why Are Wole Soyinka, Femi Falana & Tunde Bakare Silent? by Nobody: 3:19pm On Jul 18, 2023
Because then there was subsidy, now the market dictates, no more subsidy, it's in our laws now. You want Soyinka to go fight the marketers?

Deregulation of upstream sector means government can't fix prices of pms anymore. Abi una no dey Nigeria?

All parliamentarians, stakeholders agree it is the right thing to do, else Nigeria runs aground, and can't meet up with salaries for politicians, military, police, civil service etc...and Buhari signed it into law, Tinubu had no choice, everyone including Obi knows this.

My man these gen zs no dey listen to news, I can't believe they don't understand that the sector has been deregulated, or is it that they don't know the meaning of deregulation, lol. Tinubu has absolutely nothing to do with fuel price.

Tinubu did not hike the price, the price is now at the mercy of market forces, it has been deregulated, subsidy payments stopped. A president in a democracy is not a dictator, he works with the provisions of the law and budget.

All of you are not as educated as me. I know what deregulation means. Jonathan in 2012 tried to deregulate the oil industry, your SW people led the protests. Okonjo iweala removed subsidy, you lots screamed. Now, you are explaining deregulation to us. Like you yorubas are a problem with your dishonesty and slyness.

So, if other past government are not good to remove subsidy, why is Tinubu good to remove subsidy?

Am not Yoruba, am proudly Edo (up Bendel). Yes many of us protested when GEJ removed subsidy just like we protested before him when OBJ tried to remove it or when he cut d subsidy. We didn't understand it then, we thought d corruption in d scheme could be addressed, unfortunately we were wrong. We wanted Buhari to remove d subsidy by 2015 when he just came but he refused. Big mistake. Tinubu had to finally take d painful decision. Times have changed, we now understand the situation better.

U are a tribal bigot fixated with d Yorubas. Am proudly Edo. GEJ was not d first President that tried to remove subsidy. OBJ had tried, cut d subsidy and Nigerians protested against him. Why are u crying over only GEJ? Yorubas were not d only only ones who protested against him, abi didn't your Igbos also protest then? They're all like that, both educated and uneducated. Pastors or writers, they're all driven by tribalism.

How many presidents have we had since GEJ? During PMB era, many analysts called on him to remove d subsidy as early as 2016 just after he started as president but he didn't. Someone like me felt he should remove it then cos there was virtually no more subsidy as price of international crude crashed. El Rufai said as much. Let me even ask u, what is your recipe? That we should continue to borrow to fund subsidy till we default in our loan payment just cos u are angry it was not removed during GEJ era? Come on, that's a moronic way of thinking
