In a truly free market the price of fuel shouldn't be more than the 490 they were selling before, there should even be a gradual fall with time.
I think this increase in price is just the marketers who were enjoying the subsidy fighting back against its removal.
And that's why I said Tinubu is just another waste of time like Buhari. Baba is old and have nothing to offer Nigeria and Nigerians again.

At the bolded, and the pains the removal of fuel subsidy we cause Nigerians (most especially the poor and common Nigerians), were the things Tinubu should have look into first, then appoint minister of petroleum, and as well create a commitee to oversees how things goes before removing the subsidy.

All these are unnecessarily, we are ready to take all the pains. We voted so let us slavishly take the shit. Another eight years of stupidity. Let's watch.
To me let them make it one million naira per liter, we go trek.
Committee is spending of money
Increase electricity to 1m naira per liter, Water to 1 m naira per liter, wedding to 1 m naira per liter even death to 1m naira per liter. We go survive.

Subsidy removal was a mistake everyone was brainwashed to believe its the way forward but it never was and never will be... if they want if we can reduce the cost of governance by 500% or more all the criminals, men of God and imam will run away from politics leaving the few who are capable and will be able to save nigeria from this quicksand we're in dragged by our wicked fathers and great grandfathers who wants to die on the seat... wait a minute how did we get into all this mess at first? If we can figure out how we got into all this mess then we can solve this problem but if we can't figure it out then we are finished...

Initial Gra Gra. He was asking for subsidy to be brought back by default and thought others ain't wise wink They just pigeonholed his overwise.

Subsidy is gone for good. Petrol is not price inelastic, very soon, even the marketers will be begging for buyers. All this showmanship is not a substitute for the national interest.

May God bless Nigeria for ever! Check my signature for free stuffs!
check your signature? Fuel dey there?

Which opposition?
Politicians are the same. More so, the hardship no reach any of them and their family members. They all have aquired enough of the masses' wealth.

Expect no protest even if fuel reach 5k

The Supreme Court of Nigeria has clarified that the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, did not have a telephone conversation with President Bola Tinubu, or anyone else, on the ongoing Presidential Election Petition on the 2023 election.

The apex court said Justice Ariwoola neither spoke with Tinubu nor the Director General General of the Department of State Service (DSS) with a view to pressurizing the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal on the likely judgment to give in respect of the petitions.

The apex court’s Director of Press and Information, Akande Festus, in a statement issued in Abuja on Wednesday, said, “In view of the rumour currently circulating in the social media space that the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Hon. Justice Olukayode Ariwoola had a telephone conversation with His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Director General of the Department of State Service (DSS) with a view to pressurising the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal on the likely judgment to give, it is imperative to state clearly that there is no iota of truth in the narrative, as there was no such telephone conversation between the CJN and anyone.

“Nigerians have been following the proceedings at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal with admirable enthusiasm. So, it is advisable we all sustain the tempo and follow it up to the end, instead of relapsing into the realm of speculations and rumor peddling that will not do anyone any good.

“If this current trend of falsehood and mudslinging is sustained, our nation may not make the desired progress.”

He said the courts are statutorily established to serve the best interest of the masses and the apex court will do just so.

“We wish to plead with everyone to cooperate with the judiciary to serve the country to its full capacity, as no one will ever be favoured against the other in any dispute.

“The rule of law and supremacy of the Nigerian Constitution will always be upheld and applied in every matter that comes before the courts; as the facts presented and the subsisting laws must be applied in determining the merit or otherwise of each matter.

“The public should be rest assured that justice will be done to all matters pending in the various courts across the country, irrespective of who is involved”, the statement concluded
