In a country with limited resources and pressing socioeconomic needs, it is crucial for government spending to prioritize addressing the basic needs of the population, such as healthcare, education, infrastructure, and poverty alleviation. Allocating such a substantial amount of funds to lawmakers, who already receive salaries and benefits, is a misallocation of resources and an ineffective use of public funds.

Nigerians are asked to cut down on their cost of living but the law makers are increasing their own cost of flamboyancy.
