INEC had about 60 or so parties on its docket in 2019. They deregistered most of them in 2022, before the upcoming election, because most of them were not active.

And many small parties don't get much in the way of votes anyway. NNPP for example, won Kano and failed everywhere else. PRP didn;t even do well in its Northern heartland.

PDP and APC will always do well because they have branches everywhere. LP did well last time because PDP pol Obi moved there. NNPP was set up by PDP person Kwankwaso. Otherwise, nothing.
