Tinubu must be an olodo, a dull student that copied an answer from an intelligent student but failed to copy the formula and how he arrived at the answer.

You guys are the ones that need better comprehension to understand Obi. He outlined more in his manifesto but Tinubu failed to read Obi's manifesto.

Obi made a vow just 1 month to the elections, that he will remove subsidy on the very 1st day, but you are talking of manifesto that requires a full term of 4years to implement.

Did Tinubu tell you he will not use his 1st term of 4yrs to implement his own manifesto?

It can be removed on day 1 by setting modalities in motion to remove it on day 1.
Look, I know you're trying to divert attention from the mess your god created but the truth is, if we're to be sincere to ourselves, there's no way anyone can remove subsidy on 29th May because the subsidy budget covers to 30th June.
So you can say Obi was lying as usual as he can't remove subsidy on day1 given Nigeria's fiscal condition.
What makes Tinubu's own more serious is that he has come out to say it was never in his plan(nor that of his advisers) to remove subsidy on day 1. But he did it on a hunch. If you're being honest to yourself, if Tinubu was not your god, you'll definitely call him names by now for daring to do something as sensitive as removing subsidy on a whim. But instead, you're more concerned about what Obi said or did not say while ignoring the man who is presently destroying lives and livelihood on a whim. Two months now and no palliatives in sight. Are you guys slaves or something?

Given Nigeria's fiscal condition subsidy can be removed on day1 when the country has not even paid petroleum marketers for a lot of subsidy claims accrued in the past.

Truly Tinubu did it on a hunch, but I do not even support any form of subsidy removal until we have fully certified our local refining capacity to meet national demand. Also, our private electrical power needs with an epileptic public power supply, have constrained us to rely on even more petrol supply than should be necessary.

Also, subsidy could have continued without any form of payment, by providing subsidized crude to local refineries so that the end product is cheaper than it would be if crude had been sold to the local refineries at the OPEC price. This could be done for as long as we have enough crude oil to explore.

This way, we meet our international obligations to OPEC by fulfilling our quota at the benchmark price, while still enjoying our own natural resource locally at a price the local economy can afford.

The problem with my plan is that our fuel will be so cheap that smugglers would find a way to siphon nationally subsidised fuel across international boundaries. Then we inadvertently subsidize fuel for all our neighbours as it was happening all this while.

So let it be known that I am not even an advocate of subsidy removal, whether on day1 or during the 2nd term of any government.

No palliative is as distributed and effective as the subsidy itself.

The purpose of this topic is to show that those who are lamenting and those poling fun, all knew that subsidy would go as promised by the top candidates, and some promised day1 or immediately as done by the Tinubu regime.

What does Obi know about managing and growing a robust economy?

Between Obi and Tinubu, who is known as the dull student?

You can't defend Obi enough. Tinubu was trying to impress Nigerians by carrying out Obis plans that was what happened with subsidy removal. Obi miss Yan here.

Impress Nigerians by trying another candidate's plan?

Kai. Una Mûmu too much.

So are you saying Tinubu has no plan of his own?

Tinubu's plan will begin to unfold over his 4yr tenure.

Lol. Are you for real? You do not support subsidy removal but you voted for Tinubu who said he'll remove subsidy and you're fighting obidients for voting Obi who said he'll remove subsidy as well? What are you really on about?
BTW, it's not true that the country is still owing backlogs of subsidy. Buhari paid all the backlogs in 2018 or so.

Lastly, I think it is disingenuous to pin the present subsidy removal on Obi especially. You're simply being clever by half and playing politics. I watched an interview during the campaigns when Obi said he will first remove the organised scam in subsidy, which he believed will reduce the bill by half, then get our refineries working before removing subsidy. The tweets to that effect are in the public domain. But you choose to be blind to all that and hammer on the headline that says he'll remove subsidy immediately. I think that's being unfair to the man.
Most of you tinubu supporters are showing a lack of depth and understanding of the man you support. He's doing this not because it's the right thing to do but because these are the easy things to do to
