I'm actually surprised that most Nigerians haven't discovered that Tinubu is actually working for Igbos. It might appear ironical considering that many of his fans support him because they think he is anti Igbo. I'm going to explain how Tinubu's policies is best for Igbos and worst for his supporters:

1. Massive Increase in School Fees: the announcement that Unity schools are going to pay 100,000 per term and federal universities paying in 100's of thousands shocked Nigerians.

The effect? It will hit hard on Northern Nigeria where school enrollment is abysmally low as well SW. Already, Igbos usually fill up spaces in federal schools in the East while others who couldn't due to limited slots had to go to other regions. Unfortunately for them, quota system & high cut-off marks were used to keep them at Bay while less qualified students from those immediate regions are allowed to get admission. Now that school fees are very exorbitant, there would be lots of openings in other regions since most of the indigenes can't afford the fees. But for educationally advanced Igbos, there would always be large numbers who can afford and will be willing to pay.

The result? This is a return of the first republic and a survival of the fittest scenario. The same fear of Igbo domination during that first republic will now become a reality!

2. Floating of the Naira: this is another policy of Tinubu that has alarmed Nigerians. Virtually all currencies are now performing better than the naira including the likes of CFA & Cedi.

The effect? This policy will also benefit Igbos more. There is no country in Africa and beyond without a large Igbo community. From Cameroun to Gabon, Senegal to Ivory coast, Mozambique to Benin republic, China, S.Korea, US etc.

The result? Their huge remittances will now have more buying power in Nigeria. Igbos can also supply their goods to other African countries at cheaper rates and make profits.

3. Removal of Electricity Generation & Distribution from Exclusive List:
STAY OFF DRUGS..!! SERIOUSLY! I MEAN NO HARM!!

Before now, many homes in the North pay little or nothing for electricity while those in the South, particularly SE, SS & Lagos pay the most. Yet there would be constant electricity supply in the North unlike those places that pay the most on bills!

The effect? The discos will now avoid sending electricity to areas that usually pay little or nothing and instead send to those areas that often pay more.

The result? There would be more investments in power generation and distribution in the SE, SS and Lagos. Already, Geometric power company Aba is about to complete the biggest privately owned power generating company in Nigeria. There are others investing all over these regions that pay high bills.

4. Deregulation of Petroleum products: if the other policies were detrimental to the North, this particular one is the most fatal. The North used to be industrialized to an extent, particularly Kano, Kaduna, Zaria, Bauchi and Maiduguiri etc. But today, most of them have folded up and only Kano has few industries still operating.

The effect? With petrol selling much lower in Lagos & other Southern states, cost of production & even living, will rise in the North. Industries will avoid siting their facilities in the North. Small & medium scale businesses will also move down South. Igbos will now invest in their region more than ever before.

The result? North to South migration will spike. Unemployment will worsen in the North which will lead to more poverty and insecurity. The region will lose billions of naira monthly and over time, will become another Niger republic.

In conclusion, people that are supporting Tinubu in other to spite Igbos are actually deluded. Igbos have nothing to lose if Tinubu remains as president.

some Igbos are even more poorer than other people from other regions .
am an Igbo man and i know how we are suffering now, like every other average nigerians, due to government bad policies .
you sound like Igbos have the secret ways of plucking money, out of abnormal system like Nigeria.
for example, in the past I used to be of help to my neighbors, but now i can hardly meet up with my responsibilities.
infact, recently for the first time in decades, i begged an old time friend for financial help, who was shocked and never believed me , of course he himself is equally stranded financially, without my knowledge, all thanks to government bad policies.
Nigeria government is ignorantly killing her citizens through incompetence.
we are all suffering the same heats !

OP, what concerns you with Dangote's refinery? It is his private business. If he likes let him not open. He is the person going to pay his debts and not you. He is also not poke-nosing in your own business.

The person I quoted was ibo like you and just like several others have told you they're not having it better than others you intend to mock here. It's just that I can see through your tribalistic demeanor.

Even if Obi becomes president now, he would be more interested in saving the entire country, particularly the North. He would never be sentimental or driven by bigotry like Buhari or Tinubu.

I don't see Igbos benefiting anything more from Obi than other Nigerians. In fact, North and SS would benefit from Obi government than SE. I have studied his manifesto and also considered his worldview. An example that suffix here is when he was governor of Anambra State. He did far more for other parts of Anambra than Agulu where he came from. So, why should we be too bothered over something that is more of a general good than personal benefit?
