A pagan man has 3 wives. The first wife has 4 children, the second wife has 2 children and the third wife has only one child. They all live together in a common compound where each wife and her children dwell in separate small houses. The man lives in the main house and each wife visits him and cooks for him once a week. This pagan man then gets to know Jesus Christ and becomes BORN AGAIN. What should he do with his marriages ? Keep the first wife and send the other two packing or leave things as they are ? If he leaves things as they are, would church members not think that it is a good thing to marry more than one wife ? Please help me here. |

Lets start at the root. What is sin? Romans 4:15 says: “for where no law is, there is no transgression.” Sin is the transgression of law. Anyone who suggests that it is sin for a man to have more than one wife, should be able to easily come up with corresponding scripture that says it is against God’s law. That is a task much easier said than done. |

Well according to God's law the Israelites were commanded not to marry foreign women but because most of them were born and brought up in exile they have married foreign women and had children. Now they're returning back to their God so Ezra read the laws of their God to them. The following is what happened: We have acted unfaithfully against our God by marrying foreign women from the peoples of the land. Despite this, there is still hope for Israel. Now let us make a covenant with our God to send away all the wives and those born from them, in harmony with the direction of Jehovah and of those who have reverence for the commandment of our God. Ezra 10:44 But Christ said we must love our neighbours (whether believer or unbeliever) as ourselves {Mark 12:31} so before baptism as a Christian the disciple must stop sleeping with the other women and stick only to the first woman who is the wife of his youth {Malachi 2:14-15} if she wants to go she's free but if not you must stop sleeping with her because what brought up that marriage is ADULTERY and all adulterers will not inherit the kingdom of God {1Corinthians 6:9-10} most first century Christians faced the same problem but after reinstitution they were declared "HOLY" {1Corinthians 6:11} as they've accepted the standard of One Adam One Eve just as God planned in the beginning! IhateYouMan:church members cannot decide how he is going to live his life. If he is born again he is born again for God, not for church members. If polygamy is what he has decided, no church member has any right to oppose his decision. |

God Almighty of the Old Testament is the only true GOD and in the Old Testament a man can have more than one wife. JESUS Christ was a fictional character invented by the Romans as a form of ‘psychological warfare’ against Jewish people, a biblical scholar has sensationally claimed. Joseph Atwill, author of ‘Caesar’s Messiah’, claims to have found ancient confessions from the Romans which states authorities created a ‘messiah’ to pacify Jews in Palestine. The American author says Jesus was not based on a historical figure, but the Romans drew inspiration from historical figures from the First Jewish-Roman War. It depends on when the man got to know God. Did he know God before marrying? And was still living wayward? If yes, I don't know what he should really do. But did he know God after marrying? He should continue with all 3. When the Gentiles started accepting Christ in the new testament, many where condemning them because they were uncircumcised. Paul said that they should remain as they were when they accepted Christ. And that it's all about the heart. So same here. A man with permanent tattoo can't clean it after repenting, same with this polygamous man. Remember, Jesus said that you shouldn't divorce for any other reason apart from adultery (pls confirm) So that's it. But the young man will face so many challenges if he lives a proper christian life along with those women. That will be his suffering for that wrong act here on earth, instead of proceeding to suffer in hell |

Are they his wives? Then let him keep them. Let the light of Christ in him so shine that they would also accept christ. Let him deal with his household with love and equity. Let him continue to be the best husband to his wives and be a good father to his children. He should not seek additional wife now that he is saved. Sending the other two wives away is religion, not restitution. Who did he offend? Did he steal any of the women? To him that steal, steal no more; to him that have aquired wives should aquire no more, and no more concubines as this is adultery. Righteousness and justice is our new testament watchword. It is injustice to throw out those women and possibly into the cold because of what, you are born again? You will be doing more harm to the church than good. Nowhere the bible says go throw them out like rags now that you are born again..they are your cross and "stigma", pls he should keep carrying them. |
