The Board of Zenith Bank Plc has announced the re-appointment of Dame (Dr) Adaora Umeoji, OON as the Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of the bank.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the re-engagement is effective August 2, 2023.

The announcement was made in a notice filed with the Nigerian Exchange today. The notice said that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) had given its “no objection” to the re-engagement.

The notice read: “Zenith Bank Plc “The Bank” hereby informs its shareholders, NGX and the investing public that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has given its ‘No Objection’ to the re-engagement of Dame (Dr) Adaora Umeoji as Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of the bank. The re-engagement is effective August 2, 2023.”

She was a victim of one of Emefieles policies that automatically sacked bank EDs and MDs.

Emefiele is now at the other end of the stick so road don clear for her

Over the years, she brought a lot of juicy accounts to zenith like Julius Berger hence her meteoric rise to her present position
