It has been two months since the removal of fuel subsidy. The prices of things are sky rocketing especially transport fare. This has brought untold hardship to salary earners. So why has the government refused to increase the salary of common man at least by 30% just to cushion the effect of fuel subsidy. They will never do it instead they are thinking of $500m which they will embezzle

Thats to prove to you that we don‘t have any government in this country. All we have are some set of confused misplaced priorities greedy elements in power called leaders that form the so called government.

John 10:12
King James Version
12 But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.

They are hireling and are not concerned with the plight of the people. All the decisions taken so far are all anti-people decisions. No single step to make things easier for common man.
You want to tell me that if the person whom the masses votes for in the person of Mr Peter Obi were to be in the office, one person would have come up with the proposed 114% increase in the politicians'monthly salaries? Nobody would have tried it. The man has been trying to make it clear that the cost of governance is too much. The same federal Government has approved 35% increase just for only health workers.

Go and watch Peter Obi lectures on the platform of 2017, the YouTube video is still there. They you weep for this country.

And why are the affected masses so foolisssh that they can't come out to express themselves instead of complaining online where policies are not made?

What's your definition of insensitive.

You don't want to borrow, you dont want to save, you don't want tax increments, where then do toh people expect government to raise funds?

You don't understand how government works, the hardship in Nigeria is not mainly government sponsored, bitterness, anguish, hatred and selfishness are also part of the sponsors

For some years now, the NNPC has not been living up to the expectations. Adeosun as a finance minister was sacked because she demanded for the breakdown of the monthly financial records of the NNPC before she will accept their remittance to the federal Government. It was then that they discovered that she didn't have NYSC certificate. They finally sacked her and the business continued as usual. NNPC or NNPL is indebted to Nigerians to trillions of Naira. Let the Federal Government go for that. There are about 52 verifiable outlets through which crude oil is being siphoned from the creeks of the Niger Delta 247. Proper probing will release trillions of dollars to the economy of Nigeria. These are just two of which there are many other channels of recovery. They must not kill the masses to effectively govern them. But as they bribed their way into the seat of power, don't expect them to go after thieves.

But all what you listed are the measures the current government is being taken. The past government claimed we consumed 61m litres or so per day, now, we are hardly at 26m litres per day, remove the subsidy paid in those litres which most of the fuel won't even make it to Nigeria.

Our neighboring countries citizens are even feeling the removal of fuel subsidy in their country than Nigerians. NNPC, NNPL, Oil marketers, market regulators would all be looked into

We want it to reflect in the lives of the common Nigerians. The British Pound is over a thousand Naira. All most of the schools have increased theirs fres. The Government schools are the highest in the upward reviews of the fees. They are busy removing the few avenues through which the common Nigerians benefit from the system while making it difficult for them to live a simple decent life, yet they are not willing to sacrifice anything. I know that I may not feel it so much. But some families are really suffering. A woman recently met me that she doesn't have what she needed to tackle her medical needs. And I had to support in my little way. Begging is becoming the profession of some Nigerians. I only pray that those who are still supporting this dishonourable Government should dine sufficiently from the table of their evil food.

The only thing that can reflect in the life of a common Nigeria is to increase the minimum wages. They will never do it.
Re: Why Is The Government So Insensitive To The Plight Of Nigeria Workers by Dymaco(m): 9:56am On Jul 29, 2023
Someone is ranting that we don't want to borrow, we don't want to save and we don't want tax increment but the senate just approved #70bn for themselves. Where did the money come from?

If that’s the measure he’s taking then it should start by removing the GMD and board of NNPC. Inject new blood into the system and allow them build up a system. Not allowing the same fraudulent persons to manage the system that they seek to change.
