Government officials are excluded and well insulated from the "pain" while collecting "hardship" allowance every month.

There are also reported cases of live bullets being fired as the looting is said to have turned violent.

When the government removes the bottleneck subsidy ,instead of them to double their hustle and hold government accountable for the subsidy removed ,they’re looting fellow citizens properties .

The north, especially, the northern Sharia states, voted for and shared their votes between Alhajis Atiku Abubakar, Bola Tinubu and Rabiu Kwankwaso. Peter Obi benefited from that and won the presidential election with a wide margin.
That's why the system for electronic transmission of vote results of presidential election was disabled after INEC officials observed earlier on election eve that Obi was leading by a wide margin.

Good.the results from the sharia states clearly showed that votes were divided between the three but the votes tinubu got in those sharia states was more than what obi got in the south because of their high population and turnout.tinubu got 4 mil in core north while atiku got 4.1 mil.obi got 3.8 million in the entire south.can you now see the difference? Obi even lost the non sharia northern states to tinubu.

And yes ,the subsidy removal will help the government to stop borrowing money to augment salaries or other expenditure, the money allocated to themselves or corruption etc s another thing that entirely . Even a common security in Nigeria will demand for bribe before allowing you to see the receptionist.
