Kefee Obareki Don Momoh (February 5, 1980 – June 12, 2014), also referred to by her music name Kefee, was a Nigerian female gospel singer and composer.

Early Life
Kefee was born on the 5th of February, 1980, and died on the 12th of June, 2014. She was born in Sapele, Delta, to the family of Andrew Obareki, who at the time served as deacons at a church that her ex-husband Alec Godwin’s parents had helped found. Kefee earned a Business Administration degree from the University of Benin. She enthusiastically participated in church activities as a child and teenager, particularly choir singing.

Career
She began writing and composing songs as her love for music continued to deepen. She entered the Nigerian music industry as a Gospel singer in 2000 after releasing the album “Trip.” Kefee joined Alec’s Entertainment, a record company started by her former choir director, in 2003, and soon after that, she released her debut studio album, Branama. She gained recognition as a successful Gospel musician due to the Branama CD, which enjoyed both domestic and international sales. In three weeks, Branama sold 9,000 cassettes, and in a single month, they sold almost 2,000,000 CDs and VCDs. It was the beginning of her remarkable career as a gospel performer in Nigeria. The greatest hits of the late singer are “Branama” and “Kokoroko.”

Death and burial
Kefee Obareki Don Momoh passed away on June 12, 2014, in a hospital in Los Angeles, California, from lung failure, despite pre-eclampsia being suspected as the cause of death. She had spent fifteen days unconscious. In her hometown of Okpara Inland, Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State, Nigeria, she was laid to rest on Friday, July 11, 2014.

Kefee's death reminds me that death is inevitable and everything we do today will become meaningless in time to come.

We Love You Kefee. Urhobo Miss u, Nigeria Miss u.
