favor914:The elections conducted by the military was always better than that conducted by civilian administrations. The June 12 elections conducted by IBB is adjudged the freest and fairest election in Nigeria's history. Even the experimental diarchy elections conducted by IBB in 1992 was far better than any elections conducted by civilian administrations. You cannot compare the elections under military in 1979 with the one conducted in 1983 by the Shagari administration. In 1979 the issue was not rigging buy if NPN met the constitutional requirement of 12 2/3 of states of the federation. The supreme court gave a controversial ruling to install the Shagari government. The 1983 elections was extremely rigged and flawed. Remember Ondo state almost experienced another "wet tie" before Omoboriowo was removed and Ajasin rightfully installed. It's not about Tinubu or Obi, it's about having credible elections. The last elections was anything but credible, even in Obi's strongholds. Rivers State was a very glaring example. Military always use flawed elections or political manipulations by the incumbent government to remain in power as excuse for coups. |

tsdarkside: You guys are just morons to think that it's igbos that are wishing the military to take over power in nigeria u people are just scared after committing all kinds of actrocities on the nigerian people. Look back in history and see if there has been any military coup that was led by an igbo officer since 1966. |

babajide107:Russia is not backing the coup. Putin openly condemned the coup. Wagner supports the coup. Algeria has made it clear they are not in support of the coup because just like Nigeria, they were working together with Bazoum to prevent Jihadists at their borders. Not everything must be about Russia, France, or U.S. Individual African countries have their interests too. |

GeneralDae: That's not my argument, my point is that the situation is a volatile one which will definitely overwhelm our military. I have argued the intricacies of the situation already and Nigeria would be daft to take the bait. More so, Niger coup is an internal crisis which doesn't need any external interference; and it's a reminder to all African unscrupulous leaders that 'one day go be one day'. |

[quote author=EKONGKING post=124795737]Nigeria should focus on its problems , We should not get dragged into other people problems . The world is divided between westerners and others .Niger as a country should not and must not be a proxy war between NATO and Russia . Nigeria as a country should play larger sized role in diplomacy ,we should send Buhari for diplomatic talks and peace deals , War is not at an option for Nigeria at this critical time . Just like Buhari made Goodluck a peace ambassador , Tinubu should think along the same lines . I put it to you that you are wicked |

I am loving this. ECOWAS has lost bearing. An economic alliance has become a military one. Tinubu must mess things up wherever he forcefully put himself. |
