After This tournament, it would be wise to advice all players to participate in a FIFA tournament to open dollar àccount to receive their pay direct.

This association like our own NFF will end up paying this players only 40-50% of their total entitlement.

I can bet my 2balls that Nigerian players who for instance are entitled to earn $50,000 will end up getting $25k from NFF

Why is FIFA backtracking on this issue?

Why are they trying to use Tax bureaucracies to deny these ladies their monies? The crooks in NFF would be smiling devilishly now.

I live in Nigeria and I work remotely for an American Organization. Five times a year, I get my money remited to my domiciliary dollar account in Nigeria. No issues.

FIFA can do that too. At least for the Nigerian players. Ask for their dorm account and remit their monies. Case closed..

Infantino said. There is no mechanism by which the governing body can directly transfer the sums to the players. Also, only the federations can handle some residency and tax complications.

This actually is a valid reason. Some western countries like UK will not allow you to earn that much in few days and not take a huge tax cut from your earnings. FIFA should have thought it through very well before announcing it.

It's going to be almost impracticable actually. They can still pay the players through the FAs but must be after the payment is mutually agreed between the players and their FAs.

I hope the Coaches are not left out o because it's like NFF may show Waldrum shege cheesy Check my signature for free stuffs!

Can you imagine a whole FIFA backtracking in order to make amends? Can you imagine if the FIFA President is Bola Ahmed Tinubu? grin

Nonsense how are Tennis players paid, golf and other individual sports
All FIFA need do is to make the payment receipt available to the necessary tax authorities of these countries

Corruption is everywhere.

He must have received a backlash from the football associations who will definitely profit from endlessly those women's sweat.

Why are hardworking, outstanding women mostly at the receiving end of some wicked men?

In this era of thousands of electronic means of payment?

an association worked very hard to bring different players together, house them, monitor them, groom them, coach them, and their welfare throughout the competition to amd fro. If Gifa want to be paying the players directly all the money won by the team. Hope they have another package to for the association and country as a whole

Have you considered the tax that Australia and New Zealand will charge on the payment to individual as opposed to organization?
