If you love yourself and your family, you will read this and learn.
You will not seek to attack the messenger.
You may be offended but you will agree that it is the truth.
You will humbly seek help especially from God.
You will repent and choose to transform and help the propagation of the gospel, for God to transform you, others and Nigeria and beyond.

And that is what God seeks. That we should worship Him in Spirit and Truth.
That we should become humble.
That we should repent and seek first His kingdom and righteousness, allowing Him lead us and Supply our needs according to His riches in Glory.
That you and I become soul-winners establishing His kingdom on earth as it is in heaven, while keeping our eyes on Heaven, knowing earth is not our home.

1. Nigeria was like other nations, a pagan nation. Every tribe had their gods and worshipped their gods as they inherited from their ancestors.

2. Missionaries came, fulfilling God's command to preach the gospel to the whole world baptising all nations in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. God confirming His Word with signs and wonders. Our Nigerian gods bowed down to the Almighty God and our ancestors destroyed their idols and followed Christ.

3. Churches expanded, believers increased. People actually grew from sinners to become true Christians walking in the Wisdom, Grace and Excellence of Christ. You did not need anyone to tell you Nigerians were good Christians. Nigerians could be trusted.

4. Reprisal attacks from the gates of hell came. The demons that were cast out of the Land and out of Believers came back to claim the bodies of their former hosts.
Christian leaders also became greedy. With the influx of members came financial explosion in the church.
It was time to test them of their Lust of the Eyes, Lust of the Flesh and Pride of Life, especially Love of Money and Fornication/Adultery/Competitiveness.
The church did not handle this well. Our leaders seemed not to understand. And the church lost its focus from Soul-winning to Financial Prosperity and Competitions and strife within and without the church.
Pastors began to attack one another instead of attacking the devil. The Glory left.

5. The church started to breed Ungodly "Christians". Who were driven by Money and titles rather than the kingdom of God and His Righteousness. Today the word Christian is simply a title for someone who goes to church, not someone who is Christ-like.
Believers in Antioch were first name Christians by unbelievers because they saw them and saw Christ in their lifestyles. Acts 11:26

6. Nigeria has less than 1% True Christians today. The world has less than 1% True Christians.
The problem of the world is not unbelievers. The problem of the world today is self-professing Christians. Who go to church just because they were born in Christian homes. Who go to church but have never encountered Christ. Who go to church but are not properly taught because the church has very few Pastor who are sent. Many pastors were not sent but were chosen by their pastors or because they saw church as a profitable business. Some pastors started well but have compromised along the way.
The church is churning out more sinners than idolaters. Idolaters even fear God.
Most Christians have been taught not to fear God because God is Love and we have Grace in Christ. Yet can you truly Love God and not come to Know Him and Fear Him?

7. Dear believer we have work to do. In our own personal walk and work with God.
We have work to do in our personal transformation and in the transformation of the lives of others and our society and country and beyond.
We have to repent, we have to give ourselves to know the True Gospel- to know God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. This is what it means to be baptised (to be fully immersed/soaked) in the Knowledge of God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit just as we are baptised in Water and Spirit and Fire.
Until your personal life as a Believer makes those around you acknowledge that you serve thr True living God, you are also part of the over 99% that are Christians only in name but not in Christ-likeness.

May the Grace of our LORD Jesus Christ, the Love of God and the Fellowship of the Holy Spirit, BE with us Now and Forever. Amen and Amen.

What is the difference between you and our forebears who thought that the gods were angry when the river flooded or their crops failed and then performed sacrifices and appeasements?

The difference is they did it in ignorance.
We have come to the knowledge of the Truth.
And it is evident all around us.
Scriptures are being fulfilled daily in our individual lives, in the church and as nations.

Every one is entitled to their opinion and God likes it that way. He made us to have our own opinions.
He simply wants us to be True and not deny the Truth.
Your sincere search for the Truth will lead you to realize that truly, there is God.
And He is not like other gods.
And you will come to this conclusion just like Nebuchadnezzar, David, Zacharias, Mary and Hannah below;

I Samuel 2:1-10 NKJV
And Hannah prayed and said: “My heart rejoices in the LORD; My horn is exalted in the LORD.
I smile at my enemies, Because I rejoice in Your salvation. “No one is holy like the LORD, For there is none besides You, Nor is there any rock like our God.
“Talk no more so very proudly; Let no arrogance come from your mouth, For the LORD is the God of knowledge; And by Him actions are weighed.
“The bows of the mighty men are broken, And those who stumbled are girded with strength.
Those who were full have hired themselves out for bread, And the hungry have ceased to hunger. Even the barren has borne seven, And she who has many children has become feeble.
“The LORD kills and makes alive; He brings down to the grave and brings up.
The LORD makes poor and makes rich; He brings low and lifts up. He raises the poor from the dust And lifts the beggar from the ash heap, To set them among princes And make them inherit the throne of glory.
“For the pillars of the earth are the LORD’s, And He has set the world upon them. He will guard the feet of His saints, But the wicked shall be silent in darkness.
“For by strength no man shall prevail. The adversaries of the LORD shall be broken in pieces; From heaven He will thunder against them.
The LORD will judge the ends of the earth. “He will give strength to His king, And exalt the horn of His anointed.”

In a bid to 'stand out' as one of the 'less than 1% Christians in Nigeria', your post
unfortunately betrays you and causes your self-righteousness to surface.

Did you and the angels go round doing a survey in Nigeria and the world? Did heaven make you the Minister of Earthly Christians Statistics? Speak for yourself, you do not know the heart of others or how God gives righteousness. It was this same self-righteousness Elijah displayed when he claimed to be the only prophet left before God told him he had 7,000 others reserved.

Yes, there is so much deceit and wickedness in the world today, even in the church. Nevertheless, there are still loads of good righteous people way more than your self-generated 1%.

It's not about me or others. At the end of the day, It's about you.
Will God find you among the 1%?
Are you faithful?
There is the imputed righteousness of God. But it's purpose is to teach you to become righteous and not continue in sin/iniquity/lawlessness which God hates.

Matt.7.22 - Many will say to Me in that day, "Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?"
Matt.7.23 - And then I will declare to them, "I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'

Luke.18.7 - And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them?
Luke.18.8 - I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?"

He created the world so He is not only Interested in Insrael but all his creation.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that who so ever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

Israel is a template of God's modus operandi.
The rejection of Christ by Israel was also prophecied so that Scriptures will be fulfilled and the gospel and salvation will be extended to the rest of the world.
I know you only believe the synoptic- Jesus Christ said this. Do your research. Also Paul confirmed it in Romans 9.

It is a confirmation that Jesus Completed His Earthly Ministry faithfully.
It confirms that Salvation is available to All Men as many who believe and submit to Him as Lord and Saviour.

1. He created the world, yes, yet He declared Israel His first born, and later proclaimed Him, Israel, His inheritance in the Land of men. Yes, that same God decided His focus would be on Israel and the affairs that concerned it alone.

2. Jesus Christ, the one who mentioned the world in John 3 vs 16 also said His focus was only on the Lost sheep of Israel. undecided

You do have a point.
Most have painted the God of the new testament to be different from the God of the old testament.

Clearly this is heretic.

Yes there were some changes due to change of dispensation, but God never changed.
The sooner people come into this Knowledge and Truth, the quicker they will quit wallowing in sin, and like the prodigal son, they will come to their senses and realise that Grace is not an excuse to continue in sin but the Power of the Holy Spirit to walk godliness (as sons of God), rising above sin and condemnation and naturally walking in righteousness.

Titus.2.11-14 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men,
teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age,
looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.
