Africa is wrong in only attracting foreign investors and international funds to cure their economy.

Africans need to develop a groundbreaking philosophy, if we are to tell our own stories to the unborn generations. At different stages in the world history, Africa has missed out on major events and activities that changed the course of history and humanity. Agricultural revolution of the pre-historic times, that elevated humans from mere parks of hunters to towns and villages that grew and harvested food. The pre-historic agricultural revolution led to humans first striving for civilization and development. Africa as a continent equally had their own share of agricultural advancement. As agricultural advancement propagated the need for technological tools to transport and produce more foods in places like mesopotamia. As crude technological advancements like the invention of the wheel and other important inventions of early B.C continued. As powerful cities that mined gold and silver were rising across the Middle East and euroasia. what was going on in Africa?

Africa is blessed with a large bio-diversity of exotic animals
Africa has been proposed as where humans first evolved from our primate ancestors by many scholars. Evolution in biological science plays a vital role in how animals adapt to the natural course of planetary bodies. Dinosaurs didn’t survive when asteroid hit the earth, only because they weren’t adapted to survive such event, but mammals evolved and adapted to conditions on the event of asteroid hitting the earth, they did managed to survive. Evolution as crucial as it is, took place in Africa.

But why did Africa miss out on the later agricultural revolution, military revolution, hellenistic influence, renaissance, and the industrial revolution? Why did Africa miss out on Hellenistic influence? Why did Africa only wake up during the age of European exploration and conquest?

History has played it’s on toll on Africa. Africa’s major participation in historic events was broadened during the age of European exploration and conquest. When the need for Europeans to expand and find new opportunities amid the tense oppositions they encountered from the Islamic and arabian caliphates dating back to the fall of the roman empire. All the culture the Europeans have developed for years when they first came under the Hellenistic influence from the Romans led to the age of exploration. Christianity was a hallmark for European powers, during the middle-ages due to Roman influence. When Europeans arrived in Africa with their several century old refined cultures, they came with various reasons, Christianity was among them. They came for resources to fuel the ongoing industrial revolution in American colonies and Europe. Africa experienced a culture shock, when the Europeans first interacted with them, a continent as close as it can be to the major places and cradles of major events that shaped human civilization, unlike the indigenous people of America before the Spanish conquistadors brought European several centuries of refined culture to them. They also experienced their own level of culture shock. The major technological progress that led to the exploration age was the invention of seafaring geography and improved navigation systems, an art and sciences that the Europeans refined over crude Francs, Slavs, Anglo-Saxons and vikings way of seafaring owing to the Hellenistic influence. Africa as close as it was to powerful ancient civilizations like the Egyptian, Roman, and the greek civilization, during antiquity had little to show on whether these civilizations spread their cultures to Africa. No Greek, Roman or Egyptian Architecture were reported in central, west or south Africa, when the British empire carried out its conquest in africa. Why these ancient civilizations failed to propagate their cultures and technologies across Africa could be the toughest questions to ask, was it due to Africa’s climate and natural condition or was antiquity seafaring not good enough to circumvent the gulf of Guinea, or were there not enough people in Africa in antiquity. Antiquity civilization had little time for exploration, as the major heavy lifting for human civilization and development was carried out by the Greeks and Romans. Were the antiquity civilizations too occupied with euroasia affairs that they didn’t bother to move their empires into Africa.

What Hellenistic culture did to the Europeans is what the age of exploration did to Africa. Europeans (Anglo-Saxons, francs, Slavs and Scandinavians) have taken several centuries to process this culture and adapt it to their own philosophy and reasoning. Africa needs it’s own philosophy in order to recover from what the exploration and industrialization age did to us. Europeans and Americans have the best of technology and philosophy in this modern world as it seems. This technology and philosophy are products of centuries of adaptation to the major technological and philosophical heavy lifting that the Romans and Greeks underwent in antiquity. The modern world might present itself as a solely technological and economic utopia, but amidst all the hype and burst, amidst all the economic and financial markets, amidst all the science and engineering, amidst all the religion and cultural identity, amidst all the industrialization and urbanisation.

What role can philosophy play in helping Africans understand what role they need to play in a historic timeline?

Africa has contributed a lot to the modernization of the world. From American slaves to African miners and resources that have served a good number of nations and economy. Forget about the resources that the world needs from us, forget how we are exploited for these resources, forget about how our leaders have been corrupted by money and power. These things are not philosophically rooted. Why the west seems economically massive as they are today, originated from several century olds of philosophical breakthroughs and adaptations they had. Africa needs to recognise that amidst all this pressure for us to score up economically, remarked by international organisations and funds. We need to develop ground breaking philosophical systems of our own, tailored to the issue we are experiencing from the culture shock of the exploration age European and Islamic influence. Africa needs to evolve just like everyone has done in history, it sure will take time, but Africa needs to show that indeed human evolution took place on its soil, hundreds of thousands years ago.

But why did Africa miss out on the later agricultural revolution, military revolution, hellenistic influence, renaissance, and the industrial revolution?

The only thing Africa missed out on was writing, which made us not leave historical records of our vast achievements in antiquity. The lack of the written record slowed down our progress a lot as the past got so easily forgotten.

Why these ancient civilizations failed to propagate their cultures and technologies across Africa could be the toughest questions to ask, was it due to Africa’s climate and natural condition or was antiquity seafaring not good enough to circumvent the gulf of Guinea, .......
Ancient African civilisations saw "society" as different clans and families, so apart from needing slaves for labour there really wasn't the need for Yoruba's, for example, to colonise the Igbos by propagation. Besides, our fertile lands ensured an abundance of food and tradables, so peace and hard work paid much better than warfare.

Basically, we were not the greedy pigs those you seem to refer to as "Hellenistic" were. We had to live in peace with our close neighbours who likely evolved from our cousins, and that is why we must develop our own thought, and are.

Below is how "Hellenistics" carve. Beware!

Egyptian civilization which is more middle-east than Africa per say, in antiquity had one of the first writing system in history (cuneiforms), and majority of their history is known. My question is, as close as Egyptian civilization is to Africa, yet west, central, and south Africa in antiquity didn't develop their own writing system and records of their so acclaimed fame you mentioned about. Why did innermost Africa didn't propagate this crucial human advancements. Instead this advancements where spread throughout euroasia and middle-east.

As for Hellenistic influence, western powers bastardised Hellenism. The core of Hellenistic culture which philosophers like Plato and Aristotle was for the freedom and value of every human as seen in the city of Athens, when they first started the earliest form of democracy. That's the whole point that am trying to communicate. Western powers have bastardised Hellenism, and it all started during the exploration age even to the extent of this china war treaties articles you shared about. China branched out of western influence when they realized how to fix their problem by resorting to communism. But Africa is still under this bastardised Hellenism, that why Western powers still control us just like they did to China, in the 19th and 20th centuries. Africa needs to realize this.

By bastardised Hellenism, I mean American democracy and Russian communism, these two powers spear headed the cold war for many decades, just because each one of them wants to spread their philosophy of government to as many nations, they can get and sublet their resources. Just as in this modern situation with Russia and Ukraine-nato conflict. And the ongoing speculation on American and Russian interference in the Niger coup. British and other European powers imperialism spearheaded the exploration age just like the antiquity rise and conquest of ancient empires in euroasia. 20th century wars was all centered on difference in philosophy, just like the German Nazi, and the Soviet Union when European powers were still figuring out themselves, although their was alot of European wars in the middle ages and post renaissance. Europeans bastardised Hellenism because they refined it to their on fitting of Anglo-Saxons and Slavs culture. Which was with them before they came under the Hellenistic influence of the Republic Romans. They had to figure it out for centuries and in the process bastardising it to fit their own culture of barbarism.

You had a great philosophy. They took it away along with ur identity when they colonized you.

Now ur trying to start socialization from scratch living with people of conflicting ideaologies, zero ideaologies, imported religion, no religion, dissimilar roots , and ur all told ur the same people.

60years is small. In the next 100yrs there’ll still be no movement forward wt a lost and unconfident identity.

Writing, in the time of "Egyptian civilization" was a temple activity, done by the gods, on stone, and was carefully kept hidden from the peasants who were required for the labour of writing it. The Egyptians guided writing so well that even they forgot how to read their own writings, lol, and sadly. If only they had shared instead of keeping Adam enslaved in the Garden of Slavery. Irony is, millions read books brought to us by those they enslaved.

Egypt, in its Egyptian Civilization days, did not have valuable paper to waste. They wrote on stone and had no need to colonise anyone past building their pyramids, which was very far indeed, considering.

You are romanticising the "core of Hellenistic culture" which wasn't one core culture but rival islands with diverse cultures constantly waging wars against each other, and yiu think what Plato and Aristotle proposed was what prevailed.

Democracy in its earliest form was not as ideal as you seem to think. It evolved into being from constant wars, and your "western powers bastardised" is just more evolution.

I call that control The Garden Of Eden Syndrome. Until we evolve to conquer the fear of death and eat of the fruits of knowledge to realise if we shall surely die or not like China has done we shall remain ignorant naked slaves in gardens.

That said. China was way more culturally advanced than Africa was when Hellen arrived on their shores, so perhaps it's unfair to compare, but learn.

Wars are part of human society, we can't do away with that, but as for human civilization and advancement, apart from religion no other culture in history influenced the course of history as much as the Hellenistic culture did. Europeans (Anglo-Saxons, francs, Slavs and Scandinavians) wouldn't have gotten this far if they hadn't come in contact with the Hellenistic influence under the Romans, which is improbable due to the proximity of greek and Roman civilizations to the rest of nomadic Europe. All am trying to simulate, is had Hellenistic influence breached into Africa during the wars and activities of the diadochi's (Alexander generals during the hellenistic period), the later Roman empire spread of Hellenism (although majorly it was in Europe) or regardless just the human advancements of Egyptian civilization, we would have scored up and handled the menace of the exploration age, just like you said as China did because they were culturally advanced more than us. China itself had mingled with the diadochi's activities (especially the parthian satrapy) during the hellenistic period. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sampul_tapestry).
