The Ondo State Police Command has arrested a 45-year-old man, Bankole Oginni following the death of a woman who was said to be his ex-lover.

According to the police, the 45-year-old woman, (whose identity had not been revealed by the police) was found dead in the house of the suspect while some parts of her body had been removed.

The police added that it was the daughter of the deceased that reported the matter, after seeing the lifeless body of her mother tied down with a rope and some parts of her body removed in the suspect’s house located in the Oke Aro area of Akure, the state capital, on Sunday.

The state Police Public Relations Officer Mrs Funmilayo Odunlami who confirmed the incident, stated that the remains of the deceased had been deposited at a hospital morgue while the investigation had commenced.

She said, “A lady reported at the station that her mother’s ex-lover Bankole Oginni called and invited her (deceased) over to his place in the Oke Aro area of Akure and after she left for his house, she did not return and her phone was switched off.

“She traced her mother to the house, only to find her lifeless body in the room of the ex-lover, her legs and hands tied and her body opened with intestines removed.

Also, there were patches on her (the deceased) body that shows signs of hot water burns.

“Suspect who claimed to be a footballer is already in our custody while the body of the deceased has been deposited at the morgue.”

Imagine an innocent man who allowed his girlfriend to sleep in his house for the night only for her to fall ill that night and died.

The people in that part of the country are not trying at all'' must they kill for ritual everyday.
To cash out good but you must follow due process or u pay for the consequences when caught.

The man is evil. He should face the consequence of his crime.

But calling him her ex is fishy here. Her name is not yet revealed, yet the suspect is already identified as her ex and the matter was reported by her daughter. If she willingly went to his house, they were still dating until her death and ex is not the right word. But if he kidnapped and forcefully took her to his house, "ex" might be the appropriate term.

I wonder what a 45year old woman was doing in her ex's house. Even the guy is probably younger than the woman because a 45+ man is way too old to be called a footballer.

My question is this, was he thinking he will go Scot free after killing her, because this is obvious, is not as if she fell sick over night and died which is very possible but hands and legs tied, body burnt. Habaaa nah this is quite glaring.
