Abdullahi Barau Jibrin, son of the Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Jibrin, is reportedly set to get married to the daughter of the House of Representatives Deputy Minority Leader, Aliyu Sani Madaki.

According to the wedding invitation signed by the House of Representatives Deputy Minority Leader himself and posted on Twitter by the former Chairman of the National Human Rights Commission, Prof. Chidi Odinkalu, the wedding will take place on August 18, 2023, at Isyaka Rabiu Jumaat Mosque, Goron Dutse, Kano, Kano State.

The Deputy Senate President is a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) while the House of Representatives Deputy Minority Leader, Madaki is a member of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
