donphilopus:When Ministers and other executive appointed persons refuse honoring the invitation of the National assembly, the "disgrace" goes to all members irrespective of party affiliation. The last time CBN governor refused coming to the NASS, both party people shouted for his head, so a member asking for him to be made a scapegoat for that is a right thing all of them should agree with. There are 1001 APC members he can use to replace him 1 Like |

taylor88:The one you call righteous was exposed by the Pandora files. while he was governor, he stole N250 million monthly from the state. He invested state money into his family business. why not someone else's business, why was it his own? Because he is a thief. Now compare this criminal with Keyamo, who is the Saint here. 1 Like 1 Share |

Ikaeniyan0: That's the way it should be but you see that Akpabio, he will do anything to make the one who saw to it that he emerged the Senate President happy. Moral tendencies are at the lowest even if it exists at all, of course while the system that brought them there in the first place is so flawed |

Ikaeniyan0: Lazy youth full of hatred. Let me summarise to you. "Darlington Nwokocha (Abia Central) raised a point of order relying on Section 88 of the Constitution and moved a motion asking the Senate to step down the screening of Mr Keyamo on the ground that he ignored the invitation of the National Assembly in 2020 when he was minister to explain the issue of public". 1 Like |

The Senate erupted into a raucous session on Monday as a senator moved to suspend the ministerial screening of Festus Keyamo, former minister of state for labour. Darlington Nwokocha, a Senator representing Abia Central Senatorial District, moved a resolution to suspend Keyamo, a Delta State cabinet nominee. Enyinnaya Abaribe, a senator representing Abia-South Senatorial District, seconded Nwokocha’s proposal. Following that, Senate President Godswill Akpabio put the proposal to a voice vote, but the lawmakers were divided on the issue. The red chamber erupted into a raucous session right away. Senator Nwokocha had accused Keyamo of disrespecting the 9th National Assembly and accusing the last Assembly of being corrupt. donphilopus: That's a good reason not to screen him. The man has no regard for the national assembly beyond ratifying his nomination. Once he's invited to explain something, he'll insult them by refusing to appear before then to clarify. If the national assembly cannot find ways to make political appointees respect them, then they don't deserve any respect. Keyamo's disrespect needs to be addressed. |

Sure I can remember some youths were supposed to be engaged and a payment of 20,000 naira per month paid to them. But unfortunately nobody received shishi. I know of some youths they decieved that time. Many of them spent money they never had just to enroll.. Too bad that at the end one person pocket the money. Whether he sail through the nomination or not, he is already a rich man. |
