An aspirant for the Osun State House of Assembly seat in the 2023 General election under the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Ganiu Adesina Oyerinde, also known as Baru Omo Oninure, has lauded President Bola Tinubu for deeming it fit to nominate Alhaji Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola as a minister in his cabinet, describing the nomination as a round peg in a round hole.

This is contained in a press statement personally signed by Hon Ganiu Adesina Oyerinde and made available to newsmen in Ikirun, Ifelodun local government area of Osun State.

He stressed that Alhaji Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola, CON, performed excellently when he was the governor of Osun State, in all the sectors, most especially in stabilizing the state economy and increase in the state's Internally Generated Revenue.

Hon Ganiu Adesina Oyerinde maintained that the Minister-designate from Osun State has more than the requisite credentials, with distinction, accountability and responsiveness; describing the insurance expert as a dynamic political leader with a difference.

According him, Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola has a track record as a major actor in both public and private sector, whose footprint would forever remain indelible for generations yet unborn to see, feel and use as model to follow.

Baru Omo Oninure recalled that the four-year tenure of the immediate past governor of Osun State, Alhaji Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola was full of monumental achievements; adding that the growth of Osun state under the watch of Omo-Lemoomu was steady and upward, as the indigenes, residents, friends and well-wishers of Osun State were impressed by his giant strides in office

Hon Ganiu Adesina Oyerinde therefore urged president Bola Tinubu to consider a very critical portfolio for Alhaji Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola, who he said is very popular for his financial prudence, which the country needs at this critical period in the history of Nigeria.

In the same vein, the Ikiru-born grassroots politician appreciated the All Progressives Congress (APC) on the election and ratification of Dr. Ajibola Basiru, as the party's national secretary.

Hon. Ganiu Adesina Oyerinde described Dr Ajibola Basiru as a thoroughbred lawyer with political sagacity, who would surely bring his wealth of experience to bear in the new assignment.

He therefore wished the former member of the Red Chamber a successful tenure of office as the national Secretary of the ruling party.
