A suspected thief was set ablaze by an angry mob for allegedly stealing in Akwa Ibom State.

It was gathered from sources that the young man, who is not named, was set on fire for allegedly stealing a handset.

A video sighted by Trendygists shows the moment the boy, who is in his 20s, was chased down by the mob, beaten, and set ablaze.

At the time of this report, it was unclear where the young boy stole the phone, but it was learned that the incident happened in front of the University of Uyo’s permanent site, Nwaniba.

My cousin called me and told me abt the situation. They were 3 of them. 1 was killed by uniuyo perm site.
Another was chased down and killed also far from uniuyo perm site. Only one managed to escape with a broken arm.

Right now, there is a manhunt for him.
