The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) says it has simultaneously decimated several criminal elements in the last few days through airstrikes in various theatres of operation.

This is contained in a statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information, NAF, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, on Sunday in Abuja.

In the Niger Delta Region, Gabkwet said that airstrikes were targeted at the nefarious activities of oils thieves which had continued to affect the general environment of the region as well as the oil output of the nation.

He said the NAF aircraft under Operation Delta Safe had on Aug. 11, conducted air interdiction missions at an illegal refining site situated Southwest of Bille, a coastal town in Degema Local Government Area of Rivers.

Gabkwet said that similar airstrikes were also extended to a well-known IPOB Camp in Orsumoghu in Ihiala local government area of Anambra same day.

According to him, intelligence has revealed that the proscribed IPOB elements in makeshift camps were sighted preparatory to an impending attack on innocent citizens when the need to effectively engage them arose.

He said the airstrike was subsequently carried and deemed successful.

NAF spokesman said that similar airstrikes were carried out same day by the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai at a location about 1.5km East of Arra, a once-deserted terrorists’ hideout near Sambisa Forest.

He said that earlier reconnaissance on the location had revealed terrorists massing up at the location which had hitherto been cleared of terrorists’ activities about six months ago.

There were strong indications that these terrorists had fled from locations around Lake Chad after the areas came under intense bombardment by NAF aircraft.

“The location east of Arra was consequently attacked to decimate the terrorists and deny them settling at the location and using same as a staging point.

“Footage of the aftermath of the strike later revealed it was successful as several terrorists were neutralized and structures destroyed, while the few surviving terrorists were seen scampering away in disarray.

“At the end, their ability to attack friendly forces as well as innocent civilians were degraded,” he said. (NAN)

Very good.

All miscreants across the country should either repent or they would be sent under 6 ft ground

Anyone not happy with this news should be waiting for either NAF or DSS to pick them up cos they are enemies of Nigeria

Wrong, they used to be the major saboteur in the past.

Their mistook on civilians for criminals in the last 4 years should be nothing less than 6 times including IDP camps

If they have been providing aerial support for the ground troops, we would have decimated all the miscreants cos na how many are they in numbers

You don't know how these Terrorist work. They launch attack and then go mix with civilians taking advantage of the fact NAF won't attack civilians cuz of one UN scam rules of engagement. Over time, the civilians of that area become sympathisers to the terrorists and even protect them. These terrorists now began to take advantage of that fact massively and kept launching attacks on military formations unabatedly. before Buhari left office, he gave a matching order that anywhere or area those terrorist run to after attack should be leveled either innocent or guilty. This Order is what has now brought calm and peace to Maiduguri as we speak

But you don't expect Airforce to come and be explaining what I've explained to you above, Y'all would still make excuses against them that they are Weak, inefficient or cant fight bla bla. Now I'm giving you first hand info

You don't know what's going on in the air force. How many times have they mistook the army for the terrorists? How many of the cases was reported, if there are no saboteurs within the military most especially air force, BH, killer herdsmen would have been forgotten things but they have contacts in the military

Shut up..after tompolo has exposed these people, most of you still can't use your brains...

The people crumbling the economy and the oil sector all have their big ships in the Niger delta stealing oil and been escorted by the military...

The military are bombing those using small canoe and jerricans and here you are shouting kill them, kill them...those who use jerricans and canoe do it out of hunger... while those who use big ship do it out of greed....

Well, am not surprised because an average Nigerian always take side with the real thieves

I've told you what I should tell you. Airforce have only attacked Army mistakenly just once or twice and that was cuz of misinformation or no communication at all and such attacks are not avoidable if a Country as big as Nigeria find it hand to ensure each soldier has a walkie talkie during Operation. How do you explain in a Army platoon that only two soldiers/officers (commanding officer or 2IC) have a walkie talkie, in a case of sudden attack by terrorist how do you expect efficiency communication with the Airforce when every soldier tactically withdraw in different direction for safety??

They should be roasted especially those Igbos and terrorists in sambisa forest. I thought everyone is fighting against injustice that Igbos are bringing to their people in their region not known that majority of those Yamirin are in support of them. How people could be sympathetic to those that are killing and maiming them on daily basis remain a mystery to me. They are even calling on army to take over the affairs of this country currently. I wonder how devilish people can be.
